If someone else answered this already, my bad. But I'm pretty sure LSU wouldn't offer Faulk a scholarship to be a RB.

From what I have observed Archie is at worst indifferent to LSU. He has no particular reason to "HATE" LSU other that having attended and played for Ole Miss. This does not have to translate into "hate." It was also not lost on Archie that the last time he played the Tigers, while his team was thrashed, HE was treated with respect for a worthy opponant. Remember, he was playing with a broken arm and the Tiger defense could have messed him up good...but chose not to. Some time later Archie's mom actually thanked Coach Mac for the way the Tigers had treated Archie in that game! I heard this from Coach Mac himself.

Bare in mind also that Archie does business in the State of Louisiana...deals with LSU Alums and fans all the time...would not be good business practice on his part to go around hatin' on LSU while making his home and doing business in Louisiana.

Peyton considered LSU...until his friend Josh Booty commited to LSU, then, and only then did Peyton cross LSU off his list. Eli went to his Dad's school.

Before the advent of Internet message boards I always observed mutual respect between LSU fans and Archie.

Remember also, for whatever it is worth, that after the 4th game of his rookie season, Archie had played more games for Louisiana, than he played in his entire three year varsity career at Ole Miss against Louisiana.

Just sayin'.

Again Curley wanted him, like Warrick Dunn, to be a DB. He had a policy...if you run the 40 in a certain time...don't recall what it was, you are automatically a DB at LSU. It is said by some that this policy also cost LSU Steve McNair.

Not makin' this up.

it chapped my arse when arnaz battle went to notre dame.but he didnt do shite there.

He only started at QB for them and had a couple solid years at WR for them. He is still a starting WR for the 49'ers. He's done fine for himself.

bOY IF WE WAS REALLLY GOOD THE GUMP WOULD BE LITERALLY THE LAST LIVING THING IN THE HISTORY OF LIFE TO GIVE HAM ANY RECOGNITION

One of the reasons Billy Cannon, Jr. didn't want to come to LSU is because he would always be in his dad's shadow. I wouldn't want to be Billy Cannon, Tommy Hodson, or any great Tiger football player's son and come play here. the pressure would be too much, especially for billy jr.(quote)

There's more to the story...at that time an athlete could go pro in one sport and retain amature (sp) status in another by NCAA rules. However, the SEC was more restrictive and did not allow this. Bill C Sr wanted Jr to play pro baseball. Thus he went to Texas A&M.

Sr put the word out that Jr was not going to play baseball (while negotiating with the Yankee's. After he was drafted by the Yankee's, MLB voided the draft pick.

I am from Patterson LA so Ike Hilliard going to Florida pissed me off the most, especially knowing his uncle and brother went to LSU.

When will you learn that the word "hate" has no positive affect on anything? Use it all you want but it will come back to bite you in the arse..... when you wish there was somebody to love.......You.

Are you that drunk or just that stupid? How did you ever get past 3rd grade English class?
Archie and his boys hate LSU....really? Somehow I don't think you ever met Archie or any of his sons. Then again maybe his house was on your weekly trash pick-up route.
