Yeah, I think so. That's how strongly I feel about Adams.
Reid (and Steltz for that matter) are exactly why I said that it's a bold statement.

This year will be interesting for Adams with a full year at one of the 2 safety spots. Last year they took advantage of his explosiveness by moving him around some. He'll have more positional responsibility this year, so he may not quite stand out as much.

I think Beckwith and Adams are future 1st rounders out of the 4

1 Beckwith
2a White 2b Adams can flip coin on this one.
3 godcheax.
4 mills
I think Lewis Neal is going to show out this year.
Backend of defense will lock down these receivers creating tremendous amount of pass rush.. I'm expecting few players like Neal to make name for themselves.
I am little worried about linebackers. Not named Beckwith just from not having that much game experience.

Lamar Louis has played every year since on campus...

1. Beckwith/White
2. Adams
3. Godchaux

Louis and Jones have seen a lot of action (even as freshmen). I think we'll be okay there. I'm a little concerned about our DE's.
I don't think we have a truly elite defensive player yet. Though we definitely have some guys who have that potential and the opportunity to prove it this year.

White and Adams, with Godchaux and Beckwith not far behind.

Beckwith's lack of coverage ability is a huge flaw in his game that was completely exposed in the Arky game. I hope he worked on it because teams will be testing him all year.
I say Adams.
I say Adams.

Man, you are correct, and you deserve at least a cookie for having the most informed post of the thread. But folks on here don't want to hear it. To them, the best LB is the most athletic, the best RB is the one who carries the ball best, etc. Rashard Robinson is a great example. Most on here thought he was our best DB because of his impressive man coverage. He was not, but try telling them.

I don't know, but throw in Lacouture and Mills, and that's six elite players. It's going to be a good defense.
All that and Coach O whipping them into a frenzy. Hell, the only first downs we'll give up are personal fouls.
