Was it the uab game when LSU had all those players + V. Singleton?

I think he means the Tack Minor: Turnover Machine game against UAB in 2005. That was horrible to watch.

I was just starting to recover from that Purdue game in 2003. They gave us a nice kick to the nuts in the second half of that first round tourney game. I think even Gene Keady's comb-over hit a three.

As usual, Brady's sodomizers jump into this topic and blame Trent for Brady's faults.

Look, he didn't really get to recruit once he got here. He had to convince guys, who may or may not have wanted to stay, just to make you guys happy.

Morgan is horrible and nowhere near where his ranking was. If you're going to use him as an example, you really are a retard. The other two were losses, but its hard for an incoming coach to make the bond with those players and you know it.

If Brady wasn't such a shitty coach, we may have gotten Greg Monroe, but alas he didn't even think about LSU while Brady was here.

In the end, this team had talent last year, and SURPASSED expectations. This year, the lack of talent is showing and basketball recruiting is quite a bit different than football recruiting.

No reason to make sophomoric remarks. No one is blaming Trent for anything, just making the statement that two years later this is Trent's program. He elected to hold scholarships for this year.

who knows how he would have developed here with more playing time

You don't know that, most N.O. kids go out of state

Numerous defeats under both Dale Brown and Brady far out do this loss. Look, we have no players this year. Should TJ signed a couple JC guys to fill the void this year and a little next? Maybe. TJ can flat out coach. I was in NYC when the Tigers played. Our talent compared to UConn and even Arizona State isn't even close. I was sitting next to several UConn fans as well as a couple guys who were there to watch Duke. Everyone of these guys said that TJ can coach with the best of them and he is really well respected amongst basketball coaches. Look at his record, he can coach. BTW-- I was in NYC to have some fun with my family. I'm a Tiger but not retard enough to spend my cash to fly up to NYC to watch these poor guys play.

Can TJ recruit? We shall see over the next couple years. Brady sucked all around. We should be able to win our portion of the league most years. Miss State is pretty good in basketball and their coach way above average.

We finally have some decent facilities for basketball. TJ should be given a pass for this year no matter the record in the SEC. He will win about 5-7 in the SEC at most this year. Next year we should be able to win about 22-24 games overall and contend for the SEC West title.

I don't like John C but he can recruit and coach. I think a guy with TJ's philosphy is the only real way to beat John C's teams. Fundamentally sound and going into the game with a real strategy on how to beat a team like UK -- we can't even come close this year and may only be able to scare them the following year but after that we will be able to play with teams like UK b/c of TJ's ability to really coach the fundamentals and come up with a strategy.

Basketball in general is not enjoyable this year in the state of Louisiana.

LSU isn't that good, the Hornets aren't that good, and I can't get into the women's basketball thing.

Trent has proven he can win with talent.. ala last year.

You have to be a good coach and a good recruiter... Trent will live or die on his recruiting abilities.

I guess that Utah game last year probably is the correct answer, but this game immediately came to mind when I read the title.....

Evidently you guys missed the memo....Don't watch if you are faint of heart this year. Come back next year and put the guy under the microscope. Give him a realistic chance to rebuild. He's working with NOTHING.

That is basically what a friend and I were talking about at the beginning of the season. I even said,"I bet those assholes on the rant are going to have a field day this year about basketball." Trent Johnson can/will do a lot of really awesome things for LSU if we give him the time and support he needs. Just relax!!!

Trent Johnson is a very good coach. Nobody, and I mean nobody, predicted LSU would win the SEC last year, and LSU blasted its way to a title. Marcus Thornton was a good college basketball player. After one year with Johnson, he became a great college player, and he appears to be a solid NBA player, and the only apparent reason for that, other than hard work by Thornton, is Trent Johnson.

Xavier is an outstanding basketball program and has been competitive for many years. LSU has a very young team (only Mitchell and Spencer have any real experience) and gets blown out on Xavier's home court. shite happens, but to take a shot at Johnson for what happened at Xavier is below the belt.

You can criticize Trent Johnson's recruiting I suppose, but his class of 2010 is ranked very high by all of the recruiting experts. Only time will tell how it works out.

I've been watching college basketball for over 40 years. Trent Johnson knows what he is doing, and I am confident that he can make LSU a consistent winner. If he does, I hope LSU can keep him.

I rant, but I guess that's what this board is for.
