Morning after thoughts.

1) I really wish Brian Kelly would stop making bold predictions & stop going for it every 4th & 1. Take the 3 points.
2). Ol was manhandled by FSU DL. But, outside of Bama, that may be best DL they face.
3) Defensive secondary is weak and our DL couldn’t get to QB.
4) Don’t know why our receivers couldn’t hang on to ball. Some key drops.
5) I think Nuss should start but Kelly isn’t going to make a change.
6). Last year they improved across the year. Hoping for same but, LSU will not play in BCS barring a miracle.
7) Ist series we had 7 tries to get ball in & couldn’t. Not a good sign.

I melted through my seat going for it both times-especially with how our line looked running it. Kelly’s aggression on fourth is such an unpleasant surprise given the guy is generally a conservative coach
I think we’ll be fine but felt like we just weren’t ready for the stage which is bizarre

Expected big things from Savion Jones and he showed me that he has zero ability to set the edge. Incredibly disappointing.

I look forward to seeing the impact of Smith and Wingo playing side by side to get interior push up the middle. Unfortunately, outside of Perkins we do not have elite pass rushers on the edge

I think Kelly should have taken the points and was incensed when he did it the second time.
That said, I think he knows his defensive backfield is horrible and likely thought he needed 40+ to win. Likely just figured that getting 3 on those drives just makes the loss look better, but doesn’t get you the win.
At least that’s what I hope he calculated, because those were low % tries given how they were destroying us up front.

My thoughts are Kelly is not known as a recruiter, and is generally seen as a guy who has his shite together. This game was not has shite together.

Don’t know what all the downvotes are about I think everyone saw the same thing. The 2 things I saw that really shocked me, was the way they handled our offensive and defensive linemen. That was a real shocker. Also agree with you on taking the points early on. It gets them thinking wow they scored on us every time they have the ball. Instead it was they can move the ball, but they can’t score on us mentality. Totally different mind set plus your team feels the momentum. One thing Miles did right he always took the pts.
