The first 4 games LSU had only 2 players run over 22 mph. They last two games excluding the Ole Miss game, LSU had over 20 players run over 22 mph. ?? It's unbelievable how big a difference shorter practices have made on the players play on the field.

Mid season, practices should be short. Keep the muscles alive and in shape, but have them fresh

i find that number hard to believe. not impossible, just tough.

20 mph is not record breaking but still pretty damn fast.
even world class track athletes takes several meters to get above 20mph. Hell, the world record holder in the 60m didn't hit 22mph.

so not saying LSU doesn't have a few guys that can do it (Donte, Chark, Fournette) 20 of them hitting 22 sounds like an exaggeration.

I just heard that on Tiger rag radio. I think it was a part of LSUSPORTS 60.

Moffitt was on LSU 60 on LSUsports.net(at the 40 minute mark)Sunday, and stated the same thing. LSU is using some GPS technology that Moffitt is basing his statements on. Also stated that while practice is 66% shorter they are only doing 25% less work. Moffitt was pretty clear that the current practice schedule would result in fresher legs.

I'm so happy about this. Our 4 and 5 star players will be able to play like it on Saturdays.

I clocked my lab at 35 one time.

These baws can run 22 mph no problem. I promise.

No you didn't

I clocked mine today at 22, with my side by side.
Unless the speedometer is off no man (black or white) is running 22 mph.

Not happening

The fastest human footspeed on record is 44.64 km/h (12.4 m/s or 27.8 mph), seen during the final 100 meters sprint of the World Championships in Berlin on 16 August 2009 by Usain Bolt (average speed between the 60th and the 80th meter, which he covered in 1.61 seconds).

And that means his actual top speed was actually faster

It doesn't mean a player clocked 22mpH for 5 miles. Our players are exhibiting more burst & power as a group which makes us a very dangerous football team.
