as in before the season there were threads about his draft stock and majority of LSU fans had him as a 1st-2nd round prospect. I thought he was more of a 4th-5th rounder. He has improved this season though and I think his stock has risen unlike the guy in the article who think his stock is falling.

oh ok. I think we will have more then one first rounder though. Lsu is just getting no respect across the board.

I think

nevis
shepard
toliver
peterson
barksdale

all might have chances and i know some are long shots. But it could happen even if the chance is very slight.

where does ridley project?

4-6 i would think, unless he runs a 4.4 at the combine or something freakish

Surprised too. Look at the pictures below the article. There is Kelvin number 11, tackling a Fla. player, obviously shedding blockers.

This idiot who wrote this also has the 49ers, Viking, Cowboys, and the Chargers as 4 of the top 10 worst teams.

And this idiot can't read that it says "Order based on current NFL team records" at the top of his draft board.

The way Drake Nevis has played so far he should be a high pick, definately a first rounder IMO. Peterson will go higher too (top 10), good cornerbacks are hard to come by and teams are always looking for someone who can be a shutdown CB. As for Shepard the dude is not only a stud LB but very smart on the field with a high football IQ. Shep might be a little small in some teams opinions but still should go late first or early second.

his stock won't go any higher than it will be at the end of the season -- he may go pro.

having Locker as the #3 QB alone makes this mock draft invalid

Are you kidding? He's just gotten his name out after having several great games, but still it seems like no one outside of the LSU fanbase knows who he is. He won't leave early unless if he knows that he's a 1-2 rd draft pick. He has everything to gain by coming back next year.

Yeah, can't say I agree with this guy either. I honestly wasn't as impressed as most with Sheppard before this year, but he has been all over so far. He isn't a first round pick but he has a future. And he sure as hell has been productive, don't know where that came from.

Dude is dumb as frick. KS does struggle on blocks sometimes but almost every LB does. Even ones that turn into first round picks...

He makes plenty of plays. He takes great angles too and is disciplined. Dude is in on almost every tackle and he blitzes good. What the frick else do want in a LB? I don't see people gashing LSU up the middle and it mostly because of KS/Nevis. He probably isn't a 1st round talent but he still got to be considered a high pick. Second or third round. A lights out combine would probably put him in the first round easily though.

Nevis is playing himself into a first round pick, even if he has size question marks. His explosion is insane and someone is going to fall in love with it if he continues on this path.

Toliver and Barksdale will be interesting to see. Barksdale has had a quietly good season at LT. He has gotten beat a few times but it was mostly missed assignments.

Toliver can really explode the second half of the season if JL keeps feeding him the ball like that. He made a really good CB look stupid against Florida too, which only helped his stock. A good Senior Bowl and combine, his stock will soar.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is a 6'3 235 pound guy projected as an OLB because of his speed and cover skills, lacking physically?

you could honestly pick names out of a hat and do better.

Prince at number 4, and Peterson at 19?
a center at number 12?
julio and jake locker in the top 15?

frick you, sporting news.

The type of RB he is doesn't go high in the draft. If he can ride the wave he's making this season and go in the 3rd or 4th round he needs to get out.
