In his defense, lsu had the best offense in college. So yeah. Most teams gave up a ton of points.

His most recent contract hasn't been made public I found his initial contract and the amended contract extension he received last year.
His initial contract had some fairly punitive restrictions on him leave for other DC jobs, particularly within the conference.
If he left for a DC job in conference, his buyout was equal to 1 years compensation or if less than a year, monthly compensation times the number of months remaining on the contract. Or half his annual compensation if he went outside the conference.
That clause was deleted entirely with last year's extension and went to a set amount decreasing by year. With that language, his buyout would have been $800,000. May have changed with his latest extension though.

Baker and his wife (former LSU Soccer player) were crushed when Kelly didn’t retain him. Hopefully, he gets his shot in some capacity.
