With the way the game played out, everyone knew that LSU wasn't going for it on fourth. So I ask the question, why the hell was the FG team not ready to get out on the field? It took a few seconds as Miles as the camera showed him talking to a coach before finally saying FG. I feel the extended decision making caused the rushed opportunity and ultimate miss at the end.

On the flip side, what's your thoughts on us making the FG and then having to kickoff? Was it a blessing in disguise with having Auburn pinned deep in their territory?

Ok here goes

- Miles sucks
- Stud is BBQ buddy
- Ensminger is golf buddy
- Mett is borderline
- Hannibal and his elephants are threatening.
- Miles sucks

There we got that out of the way early in the day.

It wasn't a blessing in any shape or form cause LSU was only up by 2. One 30 yard pass and Saturday may have ended differently.

Clock Management and late-game preparation is on the HC.

I think the real head-scratcher is why not call TO before you kick? Why rush yourself or your ST in that situation? Didn't seem to make much sense doing it the way we did it.

We had no more timeouts. Two were wasted because of confusion on play calls earlier in the half.

I didn't think we had a timeout available at that time. IMO a better option would have been to take the delay of game penalty. The field goal had the range for five more yards, it was just off center.

My problems with it are two fold -

One - why weren't they ready? It makes no sense. Especially given the penalty before it, that was twenty extra seconds to have them ready.

Two - for a chip shot like that, take the @#$# five yard penalty. Would much rather a five yard longer FG than a rushed attempt. Guarantee you the chances of making the FG are higher with an additional 5 yards.

It worked out, but our coaching ineptitude in all things requiring thought process during a game reared its ugly head again.

Unfortunately agree.

Would seem like the right thing to do to me as well.

We didnt have a timeout left because they used it the play before which was not a good decision. And having 10 seconds to kick the ball definitely affected the outcome

are you a dick IRL also?

I was asking the question b/c they called their last timeout to run their setup play. They get the first or kick the FG. Everything looked rushed as if they were surprsised it was time to kick. I DIDN'T insult any aspect of the team, staff or school. Just looking for others' observations.

My apologies if this was the case. Just didn't remember it that way. The point was that we appeared to hurry the kick and in my opinion the reason it was missed.

I agree. I was just agreeing with the thought of taking a DOG penalty and giving DA more time for the kick. 5 yds wouldn't have made a difference in the distance.

Les didn't know what down it was. Seriously, it appeared he was asking Krags that while the clock was ticking.

More clock management problems. CLM was taking a pickup order on his headset.

The distance was so close that we could have just taken the delay of game and made the field goal from 5 yards farther rather than rush it and miss it.

Get composed and kick it through from 5 yards farther. Poor preparation and planning and that is 100% coaching.

wasn't clm supposed to hire a clock management specialist? we should not have taken the timeout the play before just to run the clock down to 1 second. we could have just snapped play at 2 or 3 seconds. clm is at it again.
