Yeah, not sure why anyone would fear them. They don't make me nervous at all. USM would have.

Only thing that could derail this party is if LSU were to let Pilkington eat up the entire game on Saturday. That's what did USM in. They let state's reliever throw a complete game in game 1 last night.

The sooner they start scrambling in the bullpen, the better. Just look at that disaster against Florida in the SECT for an example of what happens.

It's baseball if we stay hot we have no issues but it's base ball if Pilkington or one of their guys gets dialed in they can be tough to beat.

Just have to hope we stay hot and they aren't. Either way to win it all we are going to have to beat good teams and good pitching, time to do it!

Not even worried about that, other than State having the better overall player, the talent, depth and production gap between these teams is huge.

And the good news is that this is an opponent Mainieri knows backwards and forwards, so no Stony Brook surprise.

Not to worry. Karl is in Tibet.

I firmly believe this will come down to bullpen. State is still a resilient team that can come back to win against anyone. Hess, Gilbert, and Newman will be the 3 most important pieces to this weekend.

He's going to be extremely motivated. That has usually meant good things.

But State now has the lucky bats on the ground in the dugout. Look out...

Really the reason State won that regional other than USM blew it, is the team as a whole started hitting.

Rooker was 6-20 with 6 strikeouts for the regional. I think we would be happy with equal strikeouts and hits for Rooker this weekend.

LSU sweeps if this is the case.

If it goes down to starting pitchers, LSU sweeps.
If it goes down to bottom of the lineup hitting, LSU sweeps.
If it comes down to defense, LSU sweeps.

LSU only loses this series if they fall apart and play like they did in the middle of the season after the Georgia series.

Cohen almost had it right but he was throwing clipboards instead of bats.

More importantly we need our starters to get to these guys. Cause I don't trust anyone else.
