Again, you are going to already start losing money this year in addition to what will be lost next year if you keep O of things go South this season. The you are only digging the hole deeper that the next coach has to climb out of and you will have to fight to get people back on board and believing this team can be competitive again.
Those losses will far outweigh the buyout costs saved this season versus next, which would be less than $5 million with O and assistants combined.

This is why I'm categorically against firing O (not because I'm happy with his performance) until Joe Alleva is fired and a new AD is hired. Alternatively, Joe Alleva is fired and the interim AD is Austin (or Verge), and a select committee is formed to make the next hiring decision.
But, if Alleva is in charge of the next hire - not only can it be worse, it's almost guaranteed to be.

If Les Miles were the head coach today the same damn problems caused by piss poor recruiting would be showing up on his watch as well. You can't blame a head coach for recruiting problems when that head coach hasn't been the head coach for a full year yet. You may be stupid enough to do something that stupid, but fortunately the decision makers aren't that stupid.

Man you people are growing even more retarded by the minute. Sure O became the recruiting coordinator for the remainder of the year in 2015 after Wilson left. Nonetheless, he wasn't the one who called the shots. His predecessor called the shots. I mean what head coach would be stupid enough to entrust recruiting to a recruiting coordinator? Maybe that's something that you as a full on retard would be stupid enough to do, but any head coach that stupid needs to be fired.

Makes sense, but JA is not gonna bail on HIS hire after one year. That would admit a massive failure and possibly cost him his job. Not gonna happen. Were screwed with this BS for at least another season after this one. Massive long term damage coming to LSU's brand.

There are no quitters on this team like you. The problems are caused because the seven people that became starters this season on defense, after we lost seven players to the NFL at the end of the last season, aren't nearly as good as the players they replaced, and that's not a coaching problem. Are you kidding with this? LSU absolutely cares if the seats are used.
LSU cares about concession sales hitting projections. LSU cares about merch sales hitting targets. LSU cares that they are paying for police details based off ticket sales.
The price of the ticket is only one component of the revenue, and the entire AD budget is based on football revenues. A significant miss is bad for the entire AD. Also a large percentage of unused tickets means the AD incurs needless costs.
