Jennings got the start because he was #2 and Mett got hurt. Harris could very well start over Jennings if he has shown to be better than him.

You make it sound like Jennings starting would be a bad thing

Both will see the field. Just like both Stave and Tanner will. Starting doesn't necessarily mean anything. If Jennings starts and comes out and lights it up, it's settled. And vice versa. If neither then look for them both a lot till someone gets the rhythm. Both are really unproven. Or as Miles might say: unknown.

Jennings is starting. Lets stop trying to figure it out. Harris will play!

I'm late, but I have to add the fact that Jennings isn't a scrub, if Miles and Cam think he's best to start then damnit I support them.

I think you mean the intelligent thing. You don't have a true freshman make his first college start on the road vs a team that is a regular in the top 25.

I'm sure Miles and Cam Cameron will willfully choose the lesser talented of the two quarterbacks, just because. Makes perfect sense.

Jennings will start because Jennings has taken a snap in a live game before.

This is wrong. Jennings will start because Jennings won the job in camp.

I, like many, would prefer Harris to get the nod Because you are a football coach with many years of experience in the highest levels of college football who has won numerous conference titles and one national title? Sounds fair to me

And I was stating that his preference must have had some basis in fact. I was merely supposing were that might have come from.

I really didn't think that degree of analysis would penetrate your brain, so your post is no surprise. You Alabama trolls aren't very smart.

The "Miles thing" isn't to play the incumbent. It's to play the guy most likely to achieve success. Too many so-called "fans" fail to take into account the immense value of experience--even experience as the backup to the starter. The most popular QB at LSU is always the one waiting in the wings--at least among fans whose football knowledge is profoundly limited.

Just a year ago, Jennings was all the rage. That's how it works for many folks. The new guy should always be "the guy".
