LSU just screwed up!
Joe Alleva is to LSU what Mike Hamilton was to Tennessee.
You will rue this day.

One can look back and realize how lucky LSU was to have Miles while the new coach is doing well. They are not mutually exclusive.

Sad day, hopefully the haters will look back in a few years and realize how lucky we were.
They deserve losing seasons. Karma can be a bitch.

He at least should be able to coach his team through the bowl. He deserves that much.

Frank Wilson and Ed O are the 2 that were named as interim head coach possibilities for bowl game
I've been saying that for over a week. My prediction was Frank if he plans on leaving (and I'm hearing he is) and O if Frank is staying.

Les Miles has coached 142 games in 11 seasons at LSU.
Number 143, it appears, will be his last.
Miles indicated to members of the Gridiron Club on Friday that Saturday’s matchup between LSU and Texas A&M would be his final game as the Tigers' head coach, sources at the meeting told Tiger Rag.
The coach appeared in good spirits, sources said, reiterating messages that he’d "always be a Tiger” and "thanks for a great 11 years," but informed the booster club's members, in an indirect but clear manner, that Friday’s meeting would be his last with them, even explicitly saying he would not be coaching LSU’s bowl game.
Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman announced yesterday Miles would be "let go as the coach of LSU” on Sunday or Monday. That would appear to open the door for former LSU offensive coordinator and current Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher to return to Baton Rouge as Miles’ replacement, a scenario Football Scoop’s Scott Roussel considers to be LSU’s primary plan.
Miles has posted a 110-32 record at LSU, and his .775 winning percentage is the best among LSU coaches with a minimum of 25 games coached. He won two SEC championships, three SEC West titles, and the 2007 BCS National Championship, with a runner-up finish in 2011.
Miles’s contract with LSU runs through 2019, and if he is in fact fired, LSU will owe him a $15 million buyout.

I'm not sure why everyone feels so sorry for him. It is not an attack on him personally. It is a matter of business. Les miles is a stand up guy, but he has shown an unwillingness to adapt too many times and it has cost this team whether you want to realize it or not.
You can legitimately like Les Miles and not want him as coach.. Fyi

Ok, that sounds better.
But I don't think that the current fans who didn't appreciate miles tenure, ever will imo.

Les Miles deserves a lot more respect than fans and I guess boosters have given him lately. Even if the next coach does well, I think fans will look back and realize how good they had it with Les. Not many coaches can make 10 wins the standard, even in a fertile recruiting ground. Miles has done more for LSU than most LSU fans realize. Excellent and consistent results, he's the reason his 3-game losing streak is unacceptable.

What exactly is the point of not allowing him to coach the Bowl game as his finally?
Total disrespect for a man that was extremely loyal to LSU.
Don't get me wrong, I agree its time for a change, its overdue...but this is not how you treat the winningest coach in LSU history who was loyal to our University.
