@JacquesDoucet: #LSU Les Miles says Brandon Harris was "ill prepared by the coach" for his Auburn start. Says he trusts Harris much more at this point.

Is this a good sign? Are we seeing Les prepare the way for Harris?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?

It means he's taking the blame for Harris's terrible game. And looks like he wants Harris to start

I think he wants a clean slate.

I called it before the game that he would handcuff Harris and put him under center and Harris would play terrible and we'd be down 17-0 before we knew it. It was all so predictable.

Maybe Miles sees what Harris can do now and is getting ready to roll with him?

My fear is that Jennings is the starter until he graduates. He is Leslie's new pet.

So Les is throwing Cam under the bus. Oh great...

Miles isn't going to say Harris sucks. Harris has talent but most true freshman don't play well their first road game anyway. The fact he started that game at all was because Jennings was clearly struggling and Harris wasn't far behind him as a true freshman

Well except for that Auburn game referenced in this thread right?

This is Les talking, so no one really knows who he is talking about; maybe himself, or maybe Malzahn, but some coach that was at that game....I'm assuming...

He still should have let Harris start the rest of the way and gain valuable experience.

Les is just trying to get that monkey off Harris' back, and let him forget about that game. I rewatched the spring game last weekend, and I'm betting that Harris will be leading the team come fall. Jennings still looked mediocre even with no pressure from the D.

I'm always too optimistic, but this year will be

He was a true freshman making his first career start on the road in the SEC. The best quarterback coach around couldn't have gotten him ready in a week.

Harris wasn't healthy enough to play, he said it himself. He had an ankle injury in the auburn game.
