Capital One Presser

Check the Miles portion of the audio. He talks about Scott at about 04:45. Doesn't sound like a sure thing by any means, but he could be ready.

He won't play. He had to have surgery and a rod inserted from what I was told.

this guy has an NFL career on the line....he's not going to play in some meaningless bowl game and risk re-injury and lose a lot of money in the process. Just doesn't make sense.

While I realize what yall are saying, he had a broken collarbone not a ligament tear or anything like that. I dont think it would be too crazy to be back after that amount of time. Of course if he had surgery like somebody said thats a different story

No way that he had a rod installed for a collarbone. Where exactly did you "supposedly" hear this?

Scott himself said he's ahead of schedule and he "expects" to play.

when our running backs get too big...either from pumping too much iron or white chicks...it causes them to lose the "want" to run faster

He's playing in the Senior Bowl in January. Maybe he wants to increase his stock. If he can play, he will. If he is anything but 100%, no one will allow it.

I hope he gets back in time to play. We need him to run off-tackle or up the middle for 0, 1, or 2 yards on 1/3 of our total plays in the game. It makes it more exciting that way! BTW, the point is not about Scott, it's about the coaching,play-calling, and a over-rated O-line.

Really? Because I've read every post in this thread and I don't see that.

Was told that by 2 other injured lsu rbs. May have been messing with me bc that didn't make sense to me either. I was told Murphy has been cleared to play and is feeling 100% which is amazing when you think 10 years ago an acl could end careers

I broke my collar bone when i was a kid...they heal pretty quickly and you get back to 100% in no time. Its also an area not incredibly prone to re-injury, so im confident about his chances to play in the bowl game...

Miles said Murphy is out. So yeah, messing with you.

The surgery was to stabilize and align the bone. It actually speeds up the healing. Scott is a proud man and will absolutely play if they let him. I'd bet this isn't a meaningless game to him.
