Yup. You are right. If we set records, it's because of great individual effort despite horrible coaching. If we struggle, it's because of horrible coaching despite great individual effort. I forgot who I was talking to.

Historically, many head coaches at the college level have been known for excessive loyalty to assistant coaches. This is usually emphasized more when the team is underachieving or struggling.

In addition to Cameron, Miles was too loyal to Crowton and Studrawa for sure.

But Miles is not the first at LSU to be like this--DiNardo seemed to be excessively loyal to Tepper and other Tiger head coaches no doubt also suffered from this flaw.

I've already explained several times how I have been a big Miles supporter but like most level headed fans call it like I see it. His offenses are rarely good and he latches on to players that underperform. You, on the other hand, are so far from being objective that you talk about BS rumors as if they are fact to defend Miles. Everything around here gets so overblown and bullshite becomes reality so fast. Bunch of grown arse men gossiping like little girls.

Next year, we'll tell us all just how much of a qb guru Cam really is. If we show no improvement at the position next year, then it'll be time to start thinking about changes in coaches. Till then, we can't really say that Cam isn't doing his job. He didn't recruit AJ and BH is a true frosh.

It's selective loyalty. He's loyal to Jefferson while screwing Lee. He's loyal to Jennings at the expense of the rest of the team. Continuing to play Jennings is not showing a lot of loyalty to the rest of the players.

He does not hesitate to throw players under the bus by blaming execution. The scheme is never the problem. He's loyal until it's time to cover his arse.

I'm also convinced that he DID NOT tell Domingue to kick the ball out of bounds vs. Bama, regardless of what he told the media. Anyone who saw that kick and believes Miles' statement that the intent was to kick the ball out the back of the end zone instead of squibbing is a moron. That's real loyalty there: Lying to throw a kid under the bus to protect his own arse and avoid accountability.

I do agree our oline hasn't been awesome but I believe they have been good with the cards dealt we run I formation and run 80% of time. Def are putting 9-10 in box. 5-6 guys c ant block that many. We pass on 3rd and long with slow developing pass plays and def has their ears pinned back. Our Line looks best when we run out of spread. Even against Arkansas we finally went one possession out of spread and was moving the ball till Jennings fumbled. Our whole offense is much more comfortable out of spread. Just don't understand how coaches can't see that

Come on. The mark of a truly great coach is what he does with marginal talent. Nearly any coach can get production from elite talent like we had last year at QB, WR, RB, and OL.

Work some magic with lesser talent - then I'll call you a great coach.

Seems to me we had a different QB for most of the wins that year and he got perma-benched as soon as the DA let JJ go, never to return. While leading the SEC in passing. Now THAT was misplaced loyalty, and the best example by far of this major flaw Les has until this year.
