I have opined to a few at my office that perhaps Saban's players prevented the ability to achieve a perfect season in 2007 as it is apparent that Miles is capable of attaining such a feet.

seriously, the touch of magic that saban imparts on "his" players is passed down from teammate to teammate. miles is still winning because of this inheritance received from past generations of saban players at lsu. after all, lsu was nothing before saban.

Exactly. I hear the "Miles wins with Saban's players" argument all the time, and I go to the same retort: I don't care who's players they are. You still have to coach them.

I think what they mean, is Saban only recruits great players and if he recruited them then they of course are his players. So any team that has someone recruited by the "Great One" then they fall into the role of Saban's players. Except for kickers of course.

ETA, this is the dumbest thread ever. I doubt any Bama fan without an extra chromosome is saying that Miles is winning with Saban's players in 2011. If they are, pet them on the head and give them a piece of candy.

I guarantee that Meyer will win with Tressel players. It is funny that Fisher can't win with what was left in the cupboard from Meyer.
