Miles gets a lot of shite for losing more games than he should have. If continuing to play Jefferson ultimately costs us 3 of our last 5 games, how does this reflect on Miles both in the eyes of the fans and the administration?

I think it shows Les to be extremely arrogant and stubborn...

I agree with this. I like Les but this QB situation has gotten to be ridiculous to the point that it is making him look like an idiot.

I still think he just doen't want to show too much of Lee for a reason. I think Lee does something tht tips off where he is going with the ball and Les knows that if he shows him too much peopple will figure it out.

I think McNeese had it figured out and it almost resulted in a pick but the defender couldn't catch.

Miles is actually the one that knows what he is doing but he is walking a fine line that has almost cost him a game or two. He is going to have to go ahead and unleash Lee this weekend in order to win.

I dnt understand why the administrators don't tell him to start Lee.

They are busy interviewing, they don't have time to talk to him right now.

Forget about how Miles will look in the eyes of others. How will JJ be welcomed into Tiger Stadium IF we lose a close one to Aubrun? JJ has been a waste of plays for quite some time. We can ill afford to waste plays in this game. We don't have the luxury of giving JJ a few series that result in no points. JJ thinks that the fans were being unrealistic earlier this year, just imagine what will happen if he has a crucial TO or can't move the offense and we ACTUALLY lose a game because of it.

I have a feeling JL will be called upon to deliver another clutch performance and at some point he will not be able to deliver. Those that are against JL will line up to say "I told you so", although the true fault will lie with JJ's inability to move trhe offense all game and all the plays we waste trying to get him opportunities to keep his ego from being bruised.

Does this sort of problem even occurs anywhere else? I mean, who starts their worst QB and consistantly give him the majority of the snaps?

I really don't think this is the issue. Jefferson is a virtual three and out machine. How can that be preferable over anything else?

this QB situation.

Is that the same one "QB situation" which has LSU 16-3 in the regular season since the start of 09 and currently has LSU 7-0, 4-0 and ranked #6 in the nation?

I am just sooooooooooo pissed bout that situstion.

Can't you tell.

Any fan booing a college player should have his arse whipped. Hopefully several times.

I played sports at all levels but professional.

You play your best people. JJ is the worst at his position in FBS, not just on his own team.

The kid deserves to ride some pine.

No you're referring to the great defensive and special teams situation. Those of us who aren't ignorant are talking about the qb situation that led us to the 111th best offense in the country and witnessing by far the worst quarterback in the sec getting playing time when his counter-part is statistically out of his league. You know, the qb who should be playing the whole game but only comes in when we need him to save our arse (as opposed to beating the team by 3 touchdowns).

I never believed the saying that you're only as strong as your weakest link until i saw the difference between when JJ and JL is in the game. JJ is our weakest link, and the sad part about it is, we have a perfectly fine replacement not being used.

JJ is like watching a dumber version of Jamarcus Russel. There are two ppl that need to be gone from LSU and both of them just happen to be the thread topic. LSU's team on the whole are way too talented and deserve much better.

Here's Miles' quote on JJ:
quote:

"If we change the order, that's of really no importance at this point," Miles said. "Both are going to play. We enjoy the fact that both guys will develop. I just watched the film where we scored 31 points and No. 9 was the quarterback for the whole game."

It's been said several times if Miles and Crowton want a running QB so bad I'm sure RS couldn't be worse than JJ and he would do a better job of running. You could even mix in some QB trick plays with him and Lee on the field. Just something to think about. Would put the ball in RS is hands more often.

It's a dadgum shame when the gump blacksheep is the only consistently reasonable poster on this board

You see one of the biggest problems with Lee is that he was very easy to read in 2008 and he has shown some of those tenancies this year, though he has been far more effective in his limited role than he ever came close to being when he was carrying the load.

I think his growth and confidence has allowed him to make significant progress and he is much improved.

However, he has shown flashes of the apocalypse horse riding back foot throwing, lock it in on a route and panic upon contact (or the mere thought of it) habits that once destroyed us.

For Miles to bring him along slowly is the right call to me, despite what the impatient morons amongst us might think.

I also agree that we will have to unleash him and see just how far he has come.

I'm betting he will be great and could wind up leading us to the promised-land this year, returning as the starter next year and becoming an ALL TIME legend and instant LSU HOFer.

All that said, if CLM doesn't keep the progression of the tandem trending toward Lee then he will be allowing his stubbornness to hurt our chances, IMHO, but I am sure he sees the big picture better than any of us internet experts...
