Was watching highlights of the 2011 game of the century, and it seems Jefferson makes some crucial moves on his feet to extend drives and gain yards. Lee just wasn't getting it done, and Jefferson had the threat of running when the pocket collapsed. Just wondering, how did miles not see this? Without a mobile qb, we lose that game, yet he didn't learn from it.

If he had recruited and coached a decent passing qb instead of Jefferson the game wouldn't have been that close.

And in over half of our sec games we would have much larger than one score cushion had we developed a decent qb. Get the frick out of here.

We really need to beat Bama so these threads die for good.

The difference is that no one cares about 2008.

In all of bamas losses the past few years, what's the underlying theme? QBs who have the ability to make plays with their feet as well as in the air

Lee made a pro roster JJ didn't last half a day in camp it's not really hard to tell which one was better.

What makes you think miles didn't see it? He played JJ the entire NC game even though it wasn't working. We've had mostly DT QBs since then, except for mett.

He certainly made his mistakes, but the defense in 2008 was soft.

Not to mention that we can all thank Perrilloux for getting in numerous fights resulting in his dismissal which threw Lee into the mix way before he was ready.

I don't recall him playing a down the previous season. Perrilloux played the entire SEC CG and in spots here and there but I don't remember Lee playing at all.

it's not jefferswags fault Miles kept him in. He did what he could and what he thought was best as a player. They just had the better coach that day, and every other day.

Lee was having a great year, until that game. Bama prepared for a drop back passer. Jefferson became eligible a few weeks before and came in to save the day. We all know what happened in the next meeting with Bama. That was my final straw with Miles. Absolutely no in game adjustments...stick to the game plan.

Heartily agree. You could see it coming. JJ comes in in the 9-6 game, wins, starts every game thereafter.

Our offense looked the same against Arky when they were ranked #3, we needed Mathieu to help us out to get the ball rolling.

The SEC CG against UGA, no first downs in the first half, it was the same old thing. Nothing different at all.

Then, like you pointed out, we get to the rematch and it was the same gameplan all over again.

I was so mad after that game. Keep doing what isn't working, because it's working so great now.

FWIW, this isn't me attempting to bash Miles, just sums up how I felt on that day.

Anyway, moving on......
