I think so. It's amazing how some on here just felt he was terrible. Unlike most he really doesn't show any bias I can detect. The college football guys should take notes.

I just like dave neal due to his SEC voice (and he's at the Vanderbilt/Louisville super regional)
I will never quibble with kyle Peterson... great voice and the best chance to have a guy iconic to the sport IMO
mike Patrick doesn't do college baseball outside this time of year and it showed. just didn't seem as natural
of course the good ol' days were when the regionals and supers were on CST... that will never happen again but I miss Rollins and Rantz or McDonald being supreme homers for us in the postseason. I just miss Jumbo sports broadcasting regionals from the old Box on WB38 maybe after the true gorilla ball era, but the bats were still very lively.

Patrick is a wuss. Every time he does a game at LSU, and the subject of food comes up, all he does is whine about how he doesn't eat this or doesn't like that. There's nothing more effeminate than a grown man, who is picky. I can eat nails, and crap concertina wire.

Patrick is great in my opinion. I think one of the things that makes him so good is because you can tell he really likes the college baseball game. He really enjoys being involved and doing the games.

He definitely does not try to act like a know it all. He's pretty humble and respectful of the traditions especially when he talks about LSU fans and the tradition and success of our program.

Mike Patrick and Brad Nessler are the best college announcers, bar none. Ron Franklin was once that.
