re: I would participate in a flag burning to protest Trump's tweet - purpledevildog
And if I was present and saw you do it, the proper thing would be to pummel the living crap out of you. I always find it interesting that you Libs always seem to do this at a college campus or some other "Safe Place". Just once, show some real 'nads and go and do it in front of the main gate at Camp...

There are only two kinds of people who understand Marines, fellow Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a secondhand opinion. Happy birthday fellow Lifetakers and Heartbreakers! Semper Fidelis!...

re: Post a pic of you shooting shooting a firearm..... - purpledevildog
No. When you went to the rifle range you were issued a rifle and when you left the range it was returned to the armory. Every round of ammunition was counted out on issue. When you left the range every single brass shell casing had to be accounted for. In other words the spent shell number had to m...

re: Post a pic of you shooting shooting a firearm..... - purpledevildog
I still remember that week at Edson like it was yesterday. We spent 2 weeks on the range. The fist week was "snapping in", learning everything there is to know about the rifle, history, learning how to aim, etc. The second week was nothing but live firing, then on Friday we qualified. I remember at ...

re: If you could could chose 1 concealed carry pistol - purpledevildog
After a lot of study over the last couple of days, I'm gonna buy a Springfield XD(M)3.8 Compact .45. Does the law still apply that if you are a veteran, you don't have to go through training to obtain your CC, just present your DD214 with application? Years ago this was ok, but now I'm not real sure...

Springfield XD .45 - purpledevildog
I'm starting the process of obtaining my concealed carry. I was going to go with a Colt Delta Elite, but it's just to big for concealment. So I'm going with a Springfield XD .45. I wear my shirts untucked, so any suggestions for an OWB holster?...

It's hard to argue against Shane too. Also one of the best. I love it. It took me years to outgrow the hate I had for Jack Palance after he killed Stonewall. But Shane evened the score. I still haven't forgiven Bruce Dern for when he killed John Wayne in The Cowboys....

The Searchers is on - purpledevildog
I've seen this movie at least 20 times. It's without a doubt the best western ever made, and one of the best movies of all time. There is so many elements of this movie that is perfectly pieced together. Even if you don't like John Wayne (and you'll go to hell for that) it's a classic on so many lev...

re: Mike Patrick was good - purpledevildog
Patrick is a wuss. Every time he does a game at LSU, and the subject of food comes up, all he does is whine about how he doesn't eat this or doesn't like that. There's nothing more effeminate than a grown man, who is picky. I can eat nails, and crap concertina wire. ...
