Luke Sanders, Jack Hunt, Craig Steltz. All white and all ballers.

Nobody gives a shite about race comes game time. It's about jersey color at that time. Football is football and we need a good MLB.

I will reserve judgment on the kid for a few reasons. Big stage difficult offense that changed QB in middle of game and it was his first start.

Week 4 I will be merciless. We need whoever our there to give us the best chance to win.

Please, stop. Jordan Allen got nothing but praise after the game.

Ok dumb asses, I edited. Welter gets hated on for being the weakest link on a strong defense. However I still stand by my assessment that Welter did do much wrong Saturday and was where he was supposed to be. He looked ok in coverage but some of his receivers did get open on him.

Lamar Louis looked faster and more aggresive for what it's worth, but Welter did nothing wrong on Saturday to get any shite.

The one bad thing with Welter though is as other teams look to attack the weakest player on the defense, you can be assured Welter will be the one they are running at until he proves he is not the weak link.

JC Copeland should be moved to middle linebacker, especially for the Bama game. His talents are being wasted, he would be a beast with his size and mobility at MLB.

FIRST game guys, be cool. Not only was it the first game of the season, but for Welter and Blue it was the first game in almost two YEARS! To think that they are not going to improve is silly.

We had one of the most dominant seasons in CFB history in 2011 with the rantards on this board ragging on our MLB's, Minter and Hatcher, virtually EVERY game.

A case can be made, that in modern CFB, LBer is the most insignificant of the three postion groups on defense. Most coaches would rank, d-line first, secondary second, and LB third. While DESIRABLE, great LB play is not CRITICAL to having a good defense in modern football.

All that being said, we surely can stand some improvement at LB, and going forward I am confident there WILL be improvement. There might have to be some personell changes needed to make that improvment, but lets just be a little patient and see how Chief gets it all worked out!

I think we'll be fine. Go back and watch the game we played alot of nickle with only two true linebackers on field. I do have concerns with Welter, but he did not play as bad as most think.
I agree but I don't have concerns about Welter or Barrow. Watching the replay you can see that the defensive scheme will allow the occasional run since we were dropping so many in coverage. I don't know how these threads go viral picking on certain players.
