Not trying to be a dick, but where would Mickey go? He's not an NBA talent, not at his size with limited perimeter and ball handling abilities. If he were 6'10" then yea. But at his size, he won't make it. Maybe overseas though.

Now Martin, at 6'10" with his offensive skills, he's an NBA guy, at least for a few years. He'll go.

Imagine if everyone comes back and we add Simmons, Blakeney and Newman?

Jordan really needs to stay another year and work on his post game and mid-range jumper. He's always going to be an undersized PF by NBA standards,

what makes you think he can't work on those things even more so in Europe, where he devote a lot more of his time to basketball, than he can in college? Why stay in school when he can start getting paid now?

yes I remember all the negatators on here saying they had no chance of making the tournament. There were plenty of doubters. Would be foolish to stay at this point. He has a lot to his game that he needs to really concentrate his efforts on improving, much as it would be great for the team and fans next season if he stayed.

Im not sure Martin is 6'10. Last year he was 6'8. Its rare as hell for a 20 year old to grow 2 inches.

wow you are dumb, I mean, really, really dumb. Spoken like a guy with little to no education. If I were Jordan I'd ensure my future with an education first, then go after my dream...if that is in fact his dream. Players like him are a dime a dozen, and there is no guarantee he will even make it in Europe. If he were a guaranteed $$ contract that would be different...he isn't....but hey, go ahead and encourage kids who are borderline (that's being nice) to quit school....solid/sound advice.

Spartans coach Tom Izzo said he would welcome a one-and-done talent to Michigan State but added that he is worried about those advised to make the jump to the pros. "Like everything else in the world, smoking cigarettes was cool, then after research of years and years and years, it develops lung cancer," Izzo said at a news conference Saturday. "So we change our thoughts. We have not researched where a large majority of these guys that come out early [are]. ... Some day, 10 years from now, there's going to be a study of how many kids came out and ended up on the streets. That's the crime of this whole thing." Izzo said if he was a kid in that situation he would enjoy the college experience. "I would take a completely different approach -- not what's best for the NBA, not what's best for the college, what truly is best for the kid and how can we work around it," he said.

I love these comments by Izzo. Hope Martin and Mickey take note!

No I think your the really dumb one. Kids don't care about staying to get their education anymore. If they did you would have no NBA draft at all. Money, money, and more money is what's on every athletes mind in college athletics. You may have a handful that will stay but the majority want to get the hell out whether it's overseas or not there's money to be made. We will see but I think both M&M are gone

It's all about the money now and rightfully so. If the money is there he is gone.

Unless a player is drafted in the first round, there is no guaranteed money. The percentage of 2nd round players actually making an NBA roster their first year is less than 50%. Martin would almost certainly be a first round guy next year. Mickey must build up his stamina and upper body strength while also proving that his low iron issue will not be a problem going forward.

yeah I'm the dumb one. As I said, if you are a high % success kid that's one thing...Mickey will not get drafted by the NBA, and there is absolutely no guarantee that he will be successful in Europe...then what does he have? I was pretty clear in saying if there is any question about future success, I'd ensure I had the education...but yeah, I'm the dumb one.

Wants to come back to improve free-throw shooting and point blank 3 foot bank shots.

If he can add 20 lbs, and improve his ball handling, and shooting then yes but it will take another year to develop that.

At least they both are considering coming back. I think we would already know if there was no chance.

Mickey's personality makes me think he would thrive on a team where he is the 2nd-3rd option.

Why the hell would he leave? He isn't even on the draft boards anymore since his shitty play for the last month of the season. Jarell is gone. He's a first round pick. Mickey is gonna be back. Take it to the bank.

You came in here calling people dumb, for an opinion and showing what Mickey may be thinking. There are several reports about how Mickey does not care about school. You are thinking like yourself and not a 20 year old basketball player where school is not a priority.
