I guess Juluke signed the Tech contract. Bring Porter back!

Do you remember the jacked up RB rotations and every RB being in the doghouse under Porter?

I do. The best answer would be to not have is structured where he makes that call. The de-centralized Les Miles offensive power structure is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. That's one big reason why he struggles with game management. The answer is if you get Porter, don't make him in charge of telling guys to go in. Let Cam do that in conjunction with his play calling duties.

Exactly, he may be a good recruiter, because he is shady, but I wasn't wowed by the rbs when he was here. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason.

His departure did coincide with a dip in recruiting. Just saying.

Johnson has never been a RB coach, so if hired are we moving Ball to RBs?

Don't see anything on that on 247 or Twitter. sounds like BS right now. Shea has said multiple times that Curtis Johnson wants to take a year off then go back to the NFL

As for candidates, I'd love to snag Michael Smith just to hurt Arkansas.

Porter was the first name that jumped in my head as soon as the FW news came out. He was a 2-Time National Recruiter of the Year while at LSU.

And his work with our running backs was very good. Hester developed under him, as did Addai, Scott, and Ridley. None of those guys were targeted for stardom upon entering LSU.

Plus I think he even worked with Miles at Ok State. If he returns to LSU, I would just love to see what he could get out of Fournette and Guice.

I especially liked his substitution patterns against Kentucky in 2007.

Do people not remember that this is a guy that would be asked to leave offensive meetings because he was too dumb to keep up and added nothing of value?

Would rather have Curtis Johnson over any of those by far.

Hopefully neither would develop a habit of "fumbling" at practice but inexplicably never in the game.
