I have a feeling AJ will have a package of plays ala perilloux in 07, but rivers would actually be the second stringer full qb.

Jennings would just have a package of plays etc.

Perilloux was a RS SO....

And I dont think Jennings is as athletic....

so Met completed 57% and AJ 72% ??? Mett’s considered to have the big arm and all the potential but remember what jim mora said about potential? “it means you haven’t done it yet"

Mett averaged 18.4 yards per completion. Jennings averaged 12.2. That's a pretty big difference. Mett also threw 2.5 more passes so naturally accuracy will go down.

Both right IMO. Rivers will be the #2 meaning if Mett were to be injured, Rivers would start. Jennings will actually play more than Rivers though because he's going to run the option several times a game.

Backup quarterback Anthony Jennings completed eight of 11 passes for 98 yards and three touchdowns. He added 36 rushing yards on four carries. Jennings had touchdown passes of 20 and 13 yards to Landry and a 20-yard catch-and-run by fullback Connor Neighbors.

Stephen Rivers connected on three of five attempts for 31 yards, while Hayden Rettig was four of nine for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Its hard to imagine Conners running 20 yards

On the ground, Kenny Hilliard led all rushers with 91 yards on 14 attempts, followed by Hill with 39 yards and one touchdown on seven carries and Terrence Magee 46 yards on five attempts.

Nicee for Hilliard

People need to calm down on the Jennings hype

You need to open your eyes.

Jennings is special.

True Fr don't get this kind of play without them being very talented.

Jennings looked very good for a true freshman, had some nice touch on the ball. Seemed like he made good decisions

It is just a scrimmage and I'm just a fan

I've seen Jennings play. He is a special talent and has all the potential in the world. He's much further along then Rivers was at this stage it seems, but I agree Jennings will likely have a package of plays that he may run, but if Mett goes down then Rivers will play. Rivers is just more experienced, but Anthony is really putting in the time and has a great work ethic thus far.

what about Hilliad?
RB and FB. looked good. 300 yds rushing from the team. But again its situational scrimmage. They ran 130 plays. did a lot of redzone work. Some guys on d were out, but so was vadal and lael on offense.

Just glad Cam is on board, hopefully Mett and the o can continue to progress under cam. D will be good enough if healthy.

Rivers > Jennings.

Talked to a buddy of mine on the team. He said Rivers is one of the slowest and least quick people on the team. I am sure he can throw the ball pretty well, but do we really want a statue in the pocket?
