Great arm, great receivers to throw to, and Mett improved tremendously from his junior to senior year. Maybe we'll see this kind of improvement in Harris? I think a lot of people forget just how much offense we lost from 2013 to 2014. I think they also forget how much we bring back this year.

Both can make every throw, but the comparisons end there.

I'd say Jamarcus Russell is the better comparison...

2005
Jamarcus Russell
188/311 2443 yards 15 TD 9 INT

Dwayne Bowe - 41 rec 710 yards 9 TD
Craig Davis - 35 rec 559 yards 2 TD
Early Doucet - 26 rec 389 yards 5 TD

2006
Jamarcus Russell
232/342 3129 yards 28 TD 8 INT

Dwayne Bowe - 65 tec 990 yards 12 TD
Craig Davis - 56 rec 836 yards 4 TD
Early Doucet - 59 rec 772 yards 8 TD

Plus Brandon Harris isn't a statue like Mett was.

Mett rode the bench during the 2011 season except for the naked bootleg he audibled to late vs Ole Miss.

So, what you're really saying is that Harris won't truly break out until 2016.

2 of those years were with Stud as OC.

That's debatable. Both Mett & Harris have cannons for right arms. Plus Harris throws tight, Warren Moon like spirals.

Kinda sounds like an argument for Jennings.

Jennings has great receivers to throw to in 2015.

Mett improved tremendously from his second to third year at LSU.
Both Mett and Jennings played sparingly in their first year at LSU. Both failed to shine in their second year at LSU. Jennings is transitioning to his third year at LSU. Maybe we'll see this kind of improvement in Jennings?

Might be part of the reason why Jennings struggled last year.

I think they also forget how much we bring back this year.
Might be part of the reason why Jennings shines this year.

....that he did, and Les told the official next to him do not review it.

The spread closed at -31.5 with a total of 47.5. Some people would have been pissed if we were up 52-7 when that happened.

If Harris doesn't develop, we're fricked. Cam Cameron has a history of coaching and developing great QBs, but people forget that he also tried to win with the likes of Trent Green, Cleo Lemon, John Beck, Jordan Jefferson, and Jarrett Lee.

Well, other than the fact that Mettenberger started 13 games prior to his Sr season and Harris has only started one and played against bad teams/ in mop up duty, I'd say your comparison is pretty spot on.

You actually make a better case for Jennings having a break out year rather than Harris
