Should have started from day 1 in 2011.

You wanted it so, Jordan Jeffersons best season consisted of him throwing 2166 yards with 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Obviously, Mett is 2 away from matching Jeffersons touchdowns, and in no time at all will surpass his yardage.

Yes it's certainly Mettenberger, but you have to credit our receivers putting in the work over the summer and Cameron actually coaching and calling plays to win games.

This season is magical offensively. Enjoy it, Tiger fans! If our D can get a few things straightened out, we'll be a dangerous team come Nov 9.

at the rate he's going, it won't be one of the best, it'll just be THE best.

Cam could have improved JJ or JL too. Look at Mett's terrible stats last year. 12 TD's and 7 INTs? Horrible. If Mett played in 2011, we would not have went undefeated in the regular season.

While I think mett is on fire nd will break all of LSus passing records, Jamarcus was really good. We also had a way better defense so we played conservative offense and Jamarcus came out in the blow outs.

I think you are giving Cam way too much credit.

He could have taken a look at Mett and decided he should have been the starter in 2011 too.

So Mett's terrible play last year was an aberration? Mett just suddenly figured out?

The Alabama game was kind of the turning point for Mett. But Cameron deserves major credit.

Mett didn't play terrible. I don't understand why people think this. He looked inexperienced, which he was. 12 TDs and 7 INTs is not great but by no means terrible.

Below average. Not terrible, but bad. Jeff Driskel threw 12 TDs and 5 picks last year. ZM was 75th in the country ypg. I do think that Cam's scheme and play calling has a lot to do with it. JJ/JL, JL in particular, would have benefited by operating in this system.

Mett is having the best statistical season so far. Simply amazing play. But going on some theories on here, Flynn is the best because he won an national championship. At least, that was the standard when comparing him to JR. Because statistically it wasn't even close.

For a closer comparison, who were the 6 teams each played? How many passes each threw through the 6 games? Remember JR handcuffs against Auburn? LSU was much more conservative then.

I said last year we have ourselves a QB after the Bama game. We will not play a better offensive team or QB the rest of the year. Oregon, aTm, GA and Bama included. Now we just need our D to play as well as the opposing D. The only team that could potentially be a problem against is Bama. But even with them I think our O can compensate.
