It's six games into the season and Mett has already had a better season than the greats of the Les Miles era. Here are some stats: Jamarcus Russell (6 games in) threw for 1474 yards with 11 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, with a 67.3 pass percentage. Matt Flynn (also only six games in) threw for 947 yards with only 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, finishing with a pass percentage of 53.8.. Now, Mettenberger through these past six games has thrown for 1738 yards with 15 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions with a pass percentage of 68.2. He has been astounding and if he keeps on at this rate, Les could be looking at the greatest QB he's ever had.

Only if we dont need him to do anything. Meaning if we get a big lead early, I agree. If its neck and neck going into third and fourth quarter, Mett gonna light FLAs D up like a christmas tree.

This. People don't realize how good a season he's having.

Because they keep bitching about the defense. Defense will continue to improve. Scary thing is, so will Mett and the offense. This team wants a rematch against Georgia real bad. I hope it happens.

Really? All the crap QB play we've watched the last 5 years and "people don't realize how good a season Mett is having"?

I don't think your powers of observation is as far above other fans as you think!

the one thing that worries me about UF's d is Mett has a tendency to throw the ball into coverage. I mean, it's worked out for him, but Hargreaves is probably the best CB in the SEC as a FR. Kid is unbelievable. He plays CB similar to Deion in that he baits QBS and toys with them to try to get a pick. Hopefully Landry or Beckham can beat him, but a few of those passes from the MSU games could turn into picks. Mett needs to be sharp or we're in for a real dog fight.
