We'll have to agree to disagree. Im not trying to make this a JR bashing thread.

Mauck was really the worst out of Flynn, JR, Mett, and Rohan.

Agree to disagree on this too. Man, were we watching the same games?

Keep in mind Mauck didnt play his senior year. He had a better junior season than most of those listed.

Great analogy.

Rohan emerged from the Nall/Davey/Booty debacle that I witnessed at LSU.

Mauck had a bad break (literally) in 02 and gave it over the Marcus Randal. At least he had a chance to win a NC in 03. When you've got Michael Clayton, Skyler Green and Devery Henderson you will look pretty good.

Agreed, but those other QBs had NFL Wr's too, just as good if not better:
Josh Reed, Bowe, Lafell, Doucet, Randle, Byrd, Craig Davis, OBJ, Landry, etc.

LSU has had amazing WR talent with all of these QBs.

Mauck was fine but in the big games the offense scared me. Ole Miss, OK, Fla, UGA was all defense. But it would've been great if he'd have stayed in 2004. Wouldn't have won the NC but would've had a better year.

Rohan, JaMarcus and Mett....in no particular order. Rohan and Mett for shere grit producing under fire. JaMarcus for delivering, "did you see that!" moments with seemingly a simple flick of the wrist. kudo's to all the qb's who played for LSU for they all, win or lose, gave us everything they had.

they probably would've won it again. That year they rotated three qbs constantly

We have had appalling QB play over the years. Since Bert Jones we have had very few years of excellent QB play. Rohan had a great year; so did Jamarcus; but neither Flynn nor Mauck had "great" years. They were mostly just serviceable. Mett had a good year, but he failed to win the Georgia game (and we had the opportunity at the end), and he blew the Ole Miss game. Let's face it QB has not been up to the level of the rest of the program.

Herb Tyler was mine...he had practically no help from the OL...and not too much from anyone else...lol...he took a beating and just kept on performing, game after game...one tough cookie! And the coaching was ...let's just say...limited...lol

Dude I guess you are young. that one that came in yesterday and saved our arse while the other struggled all game will be your favorite QB at LSU and make you forget Mett. He's a statue back there and has no foot speed will be a practice squad player at best in the nfl

Anthony Jennings is easily my favorite until he does something wrong. I don't anticipate this ever happening.
