Bushman I think.

NOLA native, Houston transplant from Katrina.

Wherever his parents move to next, don't go there.

He reminds me of Hunter Henry. In other words, yeah- damn good.

no, it was up tempo AT TIMES.

Exactly. It was up tempo when it needed to be. Early in the game when the outcome was still in doubt, it was very up tempo.

When you have a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter and it is clear that your defense has the game well in hand, there is no need to run up-tempo. That is when you shift into "bleed the clock and pound their arse on the ground" mode, especially since that was working. This represents excellent coaching philosophy.

One of them actually put up a list of five top things to take away from their loss and it was pretty sad...

Top Five things from LSU game
1.  Goal line stand.  LSU runner stuffed on fourth and goal.
2.  Y Defense holds LSU to field goals on two consecutive penalty aided drives.
3.  Takitaki's TFL on Guice.
4.  Special teams coverage and returns fairly decent
5.  One Turnover

I know that I shouldn't laugh but I just can't help it.

ok fair enough and we were still getting game reps with our new offense so these things will happen especially in red zone.

Relative to years past it was up tempo, but if Oregon and the likes saw our film, they would laugh at the idea of last nights offense being called that.
The baws should expect 75 plays when TOP is 41:54-18:06 your favor.

Everything they are saying is true. I don't get why some of you don't agree. Our talent level is easily twice theirs. They were and are a very bad team. Surely none of you think they will have a winning season?

Tom Herman had plenty of P5 talent, including one of the top dlinemen in the country.

P5 talent? Houston lost to Navy, SMU, Memphis, and SDSU. They have upper tier G5 talent.

yes, and I think they have a good pass blocking OL also. they damn sure couldn't open running holes against the beef we put up front tho.

Come on, fella. Our offense last night was effective, but it wasn't "up tempo".

Dude, I was at the game last night and many times the Dome speakers had to cut off the Tiger Band playing the 1st Down, 2nd Down, etc. music because the next play was already starting.

I tried to tell them all week that they were making a mountain out of a mole hill, some LSU fans too. The fear that some folks have from previous experiences have them apprehensive.

Also gave BYU belief. This is what I was talking about the other day. We've had too many years of incompetent football, everyone thinks they have a chance against LSU, simply because of the past. Things are different now but it will take at least a couple years of utter domination to really convince the country. If we can close this class strong, end up with another top 5 class then LSU can be one of those teams that others know have no shot before the game starts.

We were starting to become everyone's hopeful marquee win every year. These lesser teams actually thought they could come in and out play/out coach LSU. It was tiresome but was actually becoming reality and never should've. LSU has recruited with all the great teams, it's a proven fact, you can look up the amount of blue chips LSU has compared to the country. We are only behind Bama and Ohio State. I actually think LSU has lots of underrated guys as well.

If LSU can start filling the OL depth with great talent, starting this year, then keep piling up the DLman, we'll be fine. Aranda will keep adding LBrs. DBs, RBs, WRs, aren't hard to find for LSU. QB, OL, DL is where we will become elite again. The Hback position should be easy to fill as well. Let's have a great season and capitalize on the momentum we can create. It's a great start to the season now let's build from it.

yup. many here said LSU wins by 10 or it will be close. The game coulda easily been 42-0. my eyes did not lie based on what i saw from BYU last week.
