Everyone outside of Alabama and California knows this. This team plays a much better brand of football when its them against the world. Let ESPN lead USC's bandwagon, let Phil Steele be the de facto Chief Osceola at Florida State, and every idiot that believes A.J. McCarron is "really good!"
Personally, I would love us just being slighted from season start to end, make the team earn that #1 spot in Miami. For anyone that follows LSU football, it would be a complete and utter catastrophe if we did not make the BCS National Championship Game this year.

We traveled to Tuscaloosa last year, #1. We came back, #1.
The travel............daylight.........ranking....etc..was neutralized with our talent and staff coaching.
It is TRUE...we did not do well to "gear up for the NC game," but the emotional shift was so GREAT...I am not sure that this was not reminiscent of the Colts and Jets cataclysm...in the 70's or late 60's. LSU should not have been re-matched against a "conference foe," we had already defeated and a foe that had not won a conference championshop. I think ESPN allowed the Crimson Dwarf'ette, to con them into the politicking....do not underestimate the "media involvement," in promoting "Bama's", Gump and "O"therwise....Capiche paisanos???

We're not losing this year. Because of the success we had last year and the way it ended, people forget that 2012 was the target year for our group. We were ahead of schedule last year. That's how good we are. 2012 has always been the year we pointed to as being the year we win it all. We will. Jan 9 will be a huge motivation factor for this team. I can't wait. Gonna be a fun ride.
