This can be smeared two ways:
1 - LSU looked past the failed drug tests when they were in the mix of a national title race in 2011, then in the offseason after some new additions, he was expendable and thus dismissed
Dan Patrick just went this way...hard.

the worst thing marijuana can cause you to do is eat too many cheetos. people need help for true drug issues. getting help for for pot is

Would be absolutely ridiculous to have the reigning DPOY and heisman finalist become expendable

I imagine he probably would - he was real hard on LSU for the TM issue from the jump. I would imagine others will probably join his stance.

Was it? He was much more valuable during the 2011 season than between the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Letting him go mid season is way different than letting him go in the offseason.
I'm not saying this was LSUs motive, but it certainly makes sense.

The only way that makes sense is if he was being lazy and a shitty practice player, coming in out of shape and no longer giving a frick on the field.

some tard on fb just posted this
under the SEC football page
yes b/c 1 player smoking tons of pot = coach molesting children.

That's completely irrelevant to his value after 2011 as opposed to during the season. Any starter is more expendable in the off season then during the midst of a national title run and undefeated season.
According to LSU’s drug policy for athletes, “a one-year suspension from all athletic related activities (team practices, weight room, team running, etc…)” and a “one-year suspension from competition” are automatically triggered after a third failed drug test. A second failed drug test would result in a one-game suspension (15 percent of that sport’s regular season games, rounded down); as mentioned previously, Mathieu was suspended for one game last season, although the reason for the suspension was never confirmed by the school.

Essentially TM said LSU/Miles violated their own policy on drug abuse.

loves how that article blames lsu.
frick this article. TM7 had plenty of support and chances to straighten up along the way to over 10 failed tests. This is why the media is garbage. They don't report that lsu actually tests its players and acts on it. I'm positive Dre Kirkpatrick probably failed 20 tests but bama not only didn't report it, he kept playing and stayed on the roster. Isn't it interesting that bama players turn into full knuckleheads once they leave the dictator. See Dre, Rolando McClain, and Andre Smith to name a few. Report that media, you pieces of shite.

The only thing this says about LSU is how highly valued a player he was to actually get this many chances.
It's not LSU's responsibility to wipe this kids behind, tuck him in bed or control his drug problem.
It is a privaledge to play D1 football and if you don't realize that, then go the route of the Honey Badger because in the end,
HE REALLY DIDNT GIVE A shite.

The parallel is such that both universities look like they looked the other way on some things as a benefit of the football team. That being said, drug abuse and molestation are two totally different animals, but these comparisons won't stop.
This is going to make LSU look pretty bad.

Yeah the real issue is the number of failed tests.
NCAA says you're supposed to kick em off after 4 failed tests. Then Tyrann goes in an NFL interview and said he fails at least 10.
Public perception is now that LSU covered up 6 failed tests & violated the NCAA's substance abuse policy.

The author fails to indicate ANY communications with LSU to see what they DID do to try to assist / encourage Tyrann.
For all she knows, the school move heaven anad earth to ehlp.
Eithhr lazy journalism a hatchet job, or both.
