We have five guys from that freshman class who have established themselves, the two linemen, Taylor, Perkins and DeMario Tolan, who has quietly started looking very good.

That moment with his mom. The emotion of a kid in his first year at a university and understanding the gravity of the rivalry. BK is building something special. Saban sells NFL. BK is obviously selling school, tradition, and pride. That’s a product of his time at ND.

That 2 pt conversion catch to win the game will rank up there with Flynn to Byrd and Hodson to Fuller in the LSU hype now.

Jason Taylor played for Saban at Miami and apparently was his favorite player. Saban went after Mason. But Kelly got him. That’s really impressive.

Absolutely insane, but this team might have 4 Freshman All-Americans on it.

Campbell, Jones, Taylor, and Perkins

Looked through the TE receiving stats and Taylor is 5th among Freshmen TEs, and #1 among Power 5 Freshmen TEs.

1. Var'Keyes Gumms (North Texas): 25 recs, 389 yards, 5TDs
2. Brady Hunt (Ball State): 30 recs, 330 yards, 4TDs
3. Tanner Koziol (Ball State): 27 recs, 295 yards, 6TDs
4. RJ Maryland (SMU): 19 recs, 221 yards, 4TDs
5. Mason Taylor (LSU): 22 recs, 214 yards, 2TDs
