But he's good buds with Ryan Theriot, I thought he had a pretty good pulse on the LSU world? DO YOU LISTEN TO THE RIOT HOUR??? They poke fun at O's accent and it's a RIOT!!!?

In the past we got a Big Cat drill video and maybe a Gauntlent Passing video. Us average fans nor the media are really missing out on much.

Maybe. But I'm a hell of a lot more likely to listen to his show if he had updates on the team. I'm sure his audience grows in the fall for that reason.
I'm guessing that's really what his concern is. He will probably have to wait until Sept to see the boost in ratings if he really doesn't get any content.

Well!!!!!!! That changes EVERYTHING.....and to think I always thought he was a clown who did not know what he was looking at .....but being buds with a former baseball star at LSU and a major leaguer at that.....like I said, that changes my opinion.of his opinions on .......anything!!!!!

This is new levels of stupid. It's needlessly antagonistic with the media who, frankly, WANTS to be on the coaching staff's side. But you gotta give them some access so they have some footage to run and some stories to file. You don't need to open a full practice, just give them a taste, enough to give them some content.
The media essentially gives you free PR all year long. they will get your message out. And if you give them some access, they will be friendly to you and carry your water for you.
This just sets up the media to be hostile, and they will go after O for the smallest thing now because they have nothing else to write about. And there's no risk, because no one can lose access that they already don't have.
It's just dumb media management. Give them their 10 minutes and you can lead them around by the nose and they'll print friendly stories all August long.

I have no problem with this... I say give them some time, but just because he chose not to doesn't mean the media should go all crazy on him... however, if I am O , I really should not care what the media thinks anyway... He has a team to get ready for the regular season... IMO, the media coverage of college football is way to much already....

Matt's updates on the team would be his 'opinion', which no one cares about.
Just listened to Matt 2 hours into his show, and he's still going off.
Talked about if he could watch a little of practice he could give his opinions. That's the entire problem with the media !!! Report facts. No one cares about Mascona's personal opinion. PERIOD.
