Too tall! Will play guard or tackle in NFL.

There is absolutely zero chance Pocic plays C in the NFL.

He gets out leveraged way too easily. In the league he'd get stood up on every play.

Pocic LT
Teu LG
Clapp C
Boutte/Brumfield RG
Weathersby/Malone RT

I too think that is the best alignment. Teu looks a little slow off the edge, and with SEC pass-rushers he might struggle which if so, WILL definitely impact the OFF. OT is a big ??? for the Tigers right now. Unproven guys competing for PT. Need to get it sorted out....and got to get this right for LF, BH and company. Pocic and Weathersby are big, and athletic. Allows us to put some big beef (who still move well) in the OG/C pos's, who can open holes for LF/Guice.

He and Pocic are our most talented linemen, regardless of position. Given that we need Pocic at center calling out the blocks, it seems best to get Teuhema's feet wet at tackle and let him grow into the role.

If the guy learns the position well, he'll be a very rich man in two years.

I'm not sure teuhema has quick enough feet/length necessary to pass protect against the elite defensive ends in this league

Mike D said this same thing last week and I agree here as well. He said Teuhema is a mauler and he needs to stay at G but of course it never hurts to cross train. One thing I do know is we should have plenty of backups and fresh legs rotating in and out. The best 5 IMO.

Pocic LT
Teuhema LG
Clapp C
Boutte RG *Would start him here again and move him out the lineup quickly like we did last year if he proves again he can't handle it. He is a mountain of a man and needs to be given the shot.
Weathersby RT

That leaves a ton of talent on the bench.

Brumfield
Malone
Okeke * Mike D loves his upside
Magee
Campbell *Another guys that Mike D said will play really quick

the nice thing about the offense is that we shouldn't see too many 3rd and longs so won't have DEs teeing off too much.

man, I sure hope you are correct. with our past problems of getting the play in on time and a lot of penalties i'm still nervous about this. but with Cam on the sideline and Harris more confident maybe this offense can begin to gel.

Pocic is a tackle but such a versatile player we have plugged him in where needed.

He is LT in 16 and in the NFL

I think ot maybe guard if he doesn't test high at the combine. He's not gonna play center he's too skilled and way too tall

Don't get you OLine set in your head until Campbell get on campus...in my very humble opinion he will be a starter at some point...may not be the first game, but he's going to be in there...and I said this way before MD ever spoke a word on the matter...

No doubt he's a legit NFL talent, and I don't have a crystal ball but he is a solid OC so why wouldn't he play there?

Because his size, length, athleticism, and skill set is what you want in an OT, particularly a LT in the NFL. Blind side OT is the most inprotant position on the entire OL in the NFL and when you have someone that can play and perhaps even excel at that position, you don't play him at center. It's all about how and where someone translates to the NFL. Pocic translates as an OT.

The main reason he hasn't played OT for us yet is because we've had some pretty good players there, like Lael and Hawkins, and Les promised Vadal that he would play RT and that would hopefully boost his draft stock if he returned, which he did. And Pocic was clearly 1 of our best players on the OL, probably the best, so you gotta find a way to get him on the field at the Center spot or 1 of the OGs spots.

And I don't think that Pocic even plays OG in the NFL. I see him as an OT all the way, left or right, I'm not sure. But he's an OT in the NFL. Odds are that he moves to LT. Probably would have already been at that spot if healthy this spring. And it was reported that he received a 2nd round grade for this draft, and still decided to return. He probably would have been our highest draft pick had he declared for the draft. But he decided to return. All signs point to him being our LT.

LT - Pocic
LG - Brum / Boutte
OC - Clapp
RG - Teuhema
RT - KJ Malone / Weathersby

I do think that Donovaughn Campbell will push for playing time at 1 of the OG spots, which could result in an OL shuffle and possibly allow Teuhema to move to RT, if that's something the staff wants to do. If not, I still think Campbell can push for PT over Brumfield or Boutte at the other OG spot. Has massive size and is extremely powerful and plays with some serious nastiness. Gonna be a monster for us.

Several weeks ago I posted my wish list...

Pocic....LT
Campbell...LG
Clapp.....Center
Boutte...RG
Teuhuma...RT

I put Campbell at LG between two vets...and Boutte between two vets...we should be able to run and pass equally well with this line-up...

Pocic struggled the laat three games against Bama, Ark and Ole Miss and many of you are crowning him our LT without one down at the position. I think our coaches knows best on this one!

I didn't crown anyone for anything...most informed observers thing Pocic is better suited for tackle...I think I'll be closer than you think...but I know that the staff is closer to what's real on the ground...and I'll be happy with their decision...have a good day!
