FYI game was over when the score was 38-17 so both are valid answers.

Oh, it was over for me long before that. LSU was clearly the better team.

So a freshman who has never taken a handoff in a game is an established feature back in the SEC?
Chalk 2010 up on the ridiculously unrealistic off season statements. We get them every year.

winning close games is the mark of a champion.

LSU will be even better this year.

As soon as I saw "Luck is turning - Notre Dame" all credibility of this article went to shite. Just another suck-arse wanted Notre Dame to be again what they were years and years ago. This article means jack squat.

History has proven LSU football does better when the media piles on (against)them. I'm not sure Miles feels any heat to me that's what worries me most.

What has happened since is baffling.

What's so baffling about it? We had superior talent bailing out bad coaching. We no longer have superior talent to bail out bad coaching.

When you go 9-4 and win a bunch of close games, you're lucky.

When you go 10-2 and win a bunch of close games, you "know how to win."

I'd say reality is somewhere in the middle of that.

I think most people understand this. But it's still a mystery to some. Until then, lets dance around the elephant in the room until it moves, is removed or morphs.

I disagree on both of your points. First of all , LSU is still loaded with talent and second good coaches have great records. Case in point LES Miles. The numbers don't lie. The quarterback thing has been beat to death bur any one who understands LSU football knows that the problems started there and hasn't been solved yet. Hopefully someone will step up and take command. And again I think the talent is there.

Notre Dame has a TON of talent and now a coach that has proven to be a winner at more than one place. B. Kelly makes this team a legitimate title contender with Crist at QB. Notre Dame is going to be very good the next couples of years.

And this comes from someone that hates Notre Dame more than any sports team in any league at any level.

if we drop #1 to unc, we will end up 8-4 or worse. then you can start the countdown on the hiring of our new hc.

4 losses till not mean a new coach if LSu has a winning conference record. May mean a new assistant or two.

Forgive the little kid. He probably had P.E. the last hour of school, got knocked silly in the head during dodge ball and posted that nonsense with his head still ringing.

Michael Ford hasn't taken a handoff yet in a real football game, but he's a proven, established RB. Amazing.

do you really think if we lose to a basketball school that we will win at gainesville, against bama, at auburn, at arky. losing to unc represents the continuation of "the downfall". would unc fans be happy with losing to lsu in an opening weekend, neutral site basketball game. dont think so. we are lsu football, they are unc football. if we accept playing below their level, we have reached a new level of mediocrity. as a fan and supporter, i cant sit back and watch that happpen!

Then why didn't he win a national championship at Oklahoma State? Or did he just evolve into a good coach since coming to LSU? Are we just that lucky?
