LINK

The biggest reason they are far down our list is due to schedule strength. LSU has ranked among the top 5 according to our strength of schedule ratings in each of the past five seasons. This fall, the Tigers will face both SEC West juggernauts, Alabama and Texas A&M, plus the top two teams from the East according to our projections, Florida and Georgia. According to our 2012 data model, LSU has less than a 1 percent chance of winning those four games, and only an 8 percent chance of winning three of them.

Finally someone made this available. ND fans say every year they play the toughest schedule in the country and my argument to the contrary falls on deaf ears.

A top five schedule for five consecutive seasons? Jesus.

Our schedule next year is similar to this year...except playing TCU in Dallas will be harder than Washington at home.

Instead of Florida on road and South Carolina at home, we get Georgia on road and Florida at home.

We have always played Bama well on the road.

It really is ridiculous, especially when you see Bama sitting @ 31, 16, 10, 6, 7, 25. They've actually figured it out I guess. We need to stop scheduling anything but FCS schools if the SEC is going to continue to frick us with the conference games.

Not really.
TCU is better than UW.

Our other games were North Texas, Idaho, and Towson. Kent State would beat the hell out of all three of those. Kent State was like one play away from playing in a BCS bowl this year.

I don't by into the Bama schedules weak stuff. They always seem to have at least one BCS school every year. They can't make them be good when they finally play them. We scheduled Arizona and Fresno St. way back when they were good and they wound up being crappy by the time we played them.

All you can really ask of an SEC team is to have one BCS OOC a year.

I think this benefits the team. Opening with Oregon in 2011 pushed the players to be in top shape opening the season and the result was a well conditioned team throughout the season.

In 2012, we started with a pretty soft schedule and at the back end of the season many folks were complaining about players looking tired, cramping up, etc.

I don't know if we'll win 10+ games in 2013 but I think we'll see a fast, tough team that will play hard until the last bell.

I think we'll beat Bama. If we can beat aTm again next year we could end up in Atlanta with as much as 2 losses. I would have to believe a 2 loss SEC Champ would make the 4 team playoff.

So in 2007 we did not have a top 5 SOS ranking and we won the national championship, but in the 5 years since we have been in the top 5 and no ship. I think I see the formula!!!

Keep in mind this is AFTER the SECCG (if they play in it) and after bowl games.

So their regular season schedule is even weaker than that.

It took a one-loss UGA and Unbeated ND to get them that high. Their previous twelve were a joke.

I also don't see how they were #16 in 2011 when they only beat three teams over .500 during the 12 game season.

well.....sort of.

Bama scheduled the last two opp's mich and PSU only a yr before playing them. those arizona and fresno games were like 3-4 yrs ahead.

if you want to chalk it up to luck then that's fine because both PSU and mich had dissapointing seasons in the years they played alabama.

but at the beginning of season, they were seen as strong wins.
