While I've been at LSU we've had less then 10 losses.

2005- 11-2
2006- 11-2
2007- 12-2
2008- 8-5
2009- 9-4
51-15
In 5 years as a student the only Saturday night loss in Tiger Stadium I experienced was Florida in 09. I was spoiled.

1992-1997:
37-31-1
or
11-22 under Curley (night)
28-9-1 under DiNardo (day)
I saw the lowest of the low and the sweetness that was the return of the magic.
I also distinctly remember a lot of bitching about 11:30 am kickoffs (when we were on TV) in Tiger Stadium so I find all the bitching about 2:30 pm kickoffs amusing.
My regret is that I didn't buy a shitload of season tickets when Curley was coach but I was a broke dick college student and had no clue we'd be so frigging awesome in the 2000s and beyond.

For the life of me can never forgive Gerry D for screwing up 2.5 years of LSU Football while I was a student.
Those of us who endured Curley Hallman do not share your frustration.
I will always be indebted to DiNardo for bringing the magic back and making us believe in ourselves again after 6 awful losing seasons.
To me, the 1995 win over Auburn was one of the greatest wins in Tiger Stadium ever because we finally started to believe our long nightmare was finally coming to an end. We had some growing pains in 98 and 99 (Tepper!) but the magic was back and hopefully will never again need to be resurrected.

2003-2007
12-1 NC
9-3
11-2
11-2
12-2 NC
I have always been a fan, so I remember the bad times, I just got to go to school during the good times. 2003 is my favorite season. The student section was the best and we came out of nowhere to win the NC. I still think missing Jack Hunt against Florida is the main reason we dropped that game.

1992-1996: 28-28 record, but because of the 10-2 year it seemed MUCH worse than that.

LSU is 25-3 in the games that I have attended so far in my time at LSU.

1990 Mike Archer 5-6 2-5
1991 Curley Hallman 5-6 3-4

1996 Gerry DiNardo 10-2 6-2 Peach Bowl 12
Undergrad Fall 90 to Spring 94

I refer to that period of LSU Football as The Lean Years. I live and die with my Tigers, but having been there through The Lean Years, I appreciate so much where we are now.

Thanks for bringing back a repressed memory. The best year in my college days was a 3 loss season. 8 - 4 was common for many years.
