When sabin showed up at LSU he was looking a 40 players who would play some kind of nfl football ! That doesn't strike me as bare !

Chark is the best out of that group for a reason. It's called experience. I'll give you the OL but we are still starting a freshman there and have a new offense for all these guys to learn. There's going to be growing pains. Guice is hurt, so was Dee Anderson. What can O do about players getting hurt?

Most of those other guys haven't been in a game yet. I'll bet money by the end of the year and into next year every single one of the guys that have played this year, caught ball, and was a part of the offense will grow leaps and bounds after this year. At least we are using as many as possible unlike Miles.

That's the main reason these guys aren't ready because they didn't play a single snap of football until this year. The OL is a little confusing to me, I really didn't expect for them to take a step back and they have.

Same for the defense. It's a very young and inexperienced defense, and the veterans I thought could make a difference aren't and it's mainly because of their attitude not coaching. The guys that are playing are playing well given the circumstances they are in. Everyone of those players will be better off for it next year. The DL should have been pretty good but when you take out Alexander, Lawrence and Herron, our 3 best DLman, that makes a huge difference.

No one saw that coming. When we get them all back we will be much better. I'm tired of idiots like you posting meaningless number by names to push your hate agenda to simple minded people but that won't work for people who understand football, I promise you that.

thats just the 4 star olineman.

there are numerous sec programs with less talent putting out decent oline play.

you pretend to be some football guru but you never account for experience. And you count star ratings like its some fricking scientific proof that a player is supposed to be good.

Yea, lemme guess. They've played together as a unit more than 4 games, and they arent playing guards at the OT position, and they didnt lose their best lineman 2 weeks before the season starter. I bet they are better

Rickdaddy I would really like to see you post a team who has a new offense, and starting 2 guys with little experience on their OL one who is a freshman that is performing worse than LSUs. If you can do that I'll back down.

I'll admit I'm a little surprised at the OL issues as well, but I just have a feeling that this week will be a good week for the OL. I think they will perform well this week. We'll see.

as opposed to you watching a tv broadcast? yes. youve proven you dont know shite about football.
what knowledgable football fan doesnt know what the 7 route is without looking it up?
what knowlegable football fan doesnt know where every technique lines up?

as far as you analyzing talent?

how did your Guice analysis go?

youre a fricking joke.

Right
Stars are just what you did in HS and your potential assessed by some 3rd party

back down from what?

this is a message board for lsu discussion.

i expected us to take a step back on offense but not to suck. you talked all that shite this off seasons about how much better the offense will be while all off season i talked about hiring a 55 year old career dline that has been in his life proven he can run a successful side of the ball let alone a program.

which one of us is turning out right?

we will. for the record i respect your football opinion. i rather enjoy our back and forth as long as it stays cordial. I've never seen you post something just stupid.
we are all just giving our opinions on games we see from the stands or a tv broadcast. none of us have too much insight without the all 22 film and without knowing the play call.

That chart is useless without a start category.

Look at LSU's SR's on offense for example.

coming into this year

Darrell Williams 2 starts
Russell Gage 4 starts (converted DB)
DJ Chark 6 starts
KJ Malone 12 starts

DEF

Donnie Alexander 3 starts
John Battle 7 starts
Corey Thompson 8 starts

These dudes have been here for 3 years. And can only manage a handful of starts, usually because they were filling in for a hurt player. Laughable at best. These guys havent played for a reason. Even a guy like DJ Chark that everyone was sweating this offseason is a WR3. Not a leading WR. Well, he's our best guy

That's odd. Just a few weeks ago you stated that this offense could be most aptly compared to Alabama's 2011 offense (which averaged 430 yards per game and finished 30th in the country in total offense), and that what we saw offensively against BYU "doesn't represent" what we'll see the remainder of the year ( LINK)

But now, apparently, it seems we are suddenly "too young" and inexperienced to fulfill what should be perfectly reasonable expectations.

You've accused multiple individuals of engaging in a "hate O circlejerk" and just accused me of pushing a "hate agenda".

If you're that defensive of Orgeron, fine. We'll all let you live out your little delusion. Maybe you'll wake up sometime later this year.

actually recruiting sites are far more accurate than some anonymous message board poster. they get paid to evaluate talent and are surprisingly accurate. take 5 star recruits.

recruiting sites pick 30 players out of 2500 and 49% of them make it to the nfl.
thats outstanding.

people that think recruiting rankings are meaningless are dumb. are they the end all be all? no but they for sure carry more weight than Lester earl. some dumbass that doesnt even know the damn route tree.
