LSU's leading receiver in yards for every season back to 1980

Compiled this from LSUsports.net stats pages.
Number of games does not include bowl games prior to 2002 since that was when NCAA stat rules changed.
After looking at this, a few things stand out:
* Eric Martin and Brandon LaFell are only players to lead 3-straight seasons.
* Josh Reed's 145 yards per game (plus Sugar Bowl that was not included) were ridiculous. Nabers is currently 128.8, Chase was 118.7, and Wendell Davis was 113.1.
* 1,000 yard mark has been exceeded 9 times by 7 different players that have also been the team leader (Reed and Nabers did it twice, also Martin, Davis, Clayton, Landry, Chase). OBJ (2013), Justin Jefferson (2019), and Thomas, Jr. (2023) were second on team but exceeded 1,000 yards.
* Rohan Davey's 3,347 passing yards in 2001 was way ahead of its time.
* 2019 team 401.6 yards per game passing is 67.3 more per game than this season. That LSU record might stand for a very long time if not forever.

He had 9 catches for 132 yards and 3 TDs in the Gator Bowl win over S. Carolina. But those stats were not counted officially by the NCAA at that time.

Josh Reed was fun to watch once he got the ball. Would love to know his yards after catch during his seasons at LSU. Wasnt so much a deep thread but hit him for 10 yards and he could go for 30 or 40 after the catch.

Can’t look it up, but I thought OBJ went over 1000 yards in 2013 as well.

The immediate time frame after 2013 was bleak as hell. Mett, OBJ, and Jarvis were the gold standard for a hot minute, one that it seemed we wouldn't see again for a long time.
