There's a sentiment going around that bama is the only team LSU can't wear down. I disagree. It will be neck and neck for 3 quarters but LSUs depth will mean domination in the 4th quarter. I also don't think mccarron has what it takes in a game like this. He will crumble. I'm calling at least 1 LSU TD on offense, defense, and special teams.

31-7 LSU

If we have the kind of success Georgia Southern had running the ball on them then it will be a very long day for the Gumps. We're pretty good running that option thingie.

go back and look at the first game....they were spent by about the 7 minute point in the fourth quarter...

you could see the air go out of them after TR was caught twice in a row by run blitzes behind the line of scrimmage...from that point on, they played for overtime and the LSU defense dominated...

Did they not watch the 4th quarter and OT?

Bama held up much longer than I thought they would last game, well into the 4th quarter. But they were gassed in OT.

Truth. I don't think they wanted any more by the time regulation was over and it showed in overtime.

I think if we go up tempo on them, wear them down some, get them sucking some wind then the speed option pitch to Ford will be there all night long. They can't get to the edge fast enough to catch him.

I'm hoping we can get 2 quick TD's. If we do McCarron will start pressing which could unravel Bama.

I agree, but would prefer to beat them at their best and take away yet another excuse.....

Excuse #17
"We are still the better team, the only reason that they scored more than us is because they are better conditioned than us and we were tired at the end."

There's gonna be an excuse no matter what. Their multitude of excuses can be summarized as "If LSU didn't play better football than us we'd have won both games."

If we wouldn't have had that wasted 3rd quarter offensive possesion that lasted one play and gave Alabama the ball in FG range, it might have happened even sooner...

The perception is real. We have more depth than LSU in most positions. That's what finishing 1st in recruiting 3 of the last 4 years does for you.

Agree 100%. No excuses. Bye week for both teams showed that LSU had more and better athletes. JJ running the lead option for 60 minutes will gas them. Ford's pinkie toe is the only reason the Gumps are playing us again.

9-6. And if you don't think yall were gassed by the late 4th quarter, you didn't watch the game.

You may think Bama has more depth, but we have more quality depth

Really? Did you even see the game on November 5th? At your home stadium with 95,000 Bama fans cheering you on?

Your guys quit. They were exhausted.

Too bad that doesn't get you an undefeated season.

I hope so, but do you guys think the $aban doesn't have his strength and conditioning coach all over them? The wear and tear of the season won't be on the gumps' shoulders--both teams will be exceptionally fresh and fast.
I just hope we execute and the turf in the dome helps our speed.
