This is a terrible titled thread and this discussion has happened..

LSU can very well get in the Sugar bowl if FSU beats Florida (which is very possible) and Alabama takes care of Georgia.

That is very possible.

If Florida ends up 11-1, they will almost certainly be the second SEC team in the BCS.

IDK, UF doesn't travel well unless it for the NC. In 2009, when they lost to Bama it was a pretty shitty sugar bowl.

There are so many possibilities and assumptions at this point, it's almost pointless.

I'm not saying LSU isn't going to the BCS. In fact I think.they will.

The point is that given the selection order this year, it will be a huge shock if the Sugar is able to select BOTH LSU and ND.

I just can't see the Fiesta bowl passing on whichever team the Sugar doesn't take.

Like I said, only chance I see is if K State goes to BCSCG and Fiesta takes OU as replacement over LSU.

The turd in the punch bowl is that FSU can not beat UF. Thus UF is a one loss team.

Sugar Bowl has to take a SEC team.

When did Virginia Tech or Michigan join the SEC?

That was an incredible exception. Never before had two SEC teams played for the National Title. The traditional contractual obligations did not apply.

They didn't have the option to take an SEC team last year with 2 teams in the title game. Before that the last time they didn't have an SEC team there, when they had the chance to take one, was 1999.

LSU will be there, unfortunately so will Oklahoma.

This is very likely.

They could, and should have, taken South Carolina, but didn't. Therefore the Sugar Bowl does NOT have to take an SEC team.

FSU can beat Florida. Mizzou should have beaten Plorida by 30 last weekend if their damn quarterback could throw a pass that's not 10 feet over the recievers head on every pass play.

If its Oregon vs. Bama

I predict the following bowls (assuming the favorites win their conference)

Rose - Nebraska/Mich vs. Oregon State (if they win out)

Fiesta - Kansas State vs. Clemson

Orange - FSU vs. Louisville

Sugar - UF vs. ND

OU getting screwed because the Fiesta not taking a re-match and taking a 1 loss Clemson over them.

These would be 3 of the worst bowls ever.....also if Oregon State wins out than this will never happen:

No they couldn't. There is a limit on two teams per conference in the BCS. The only exception is if two teams make the title game and neither is the conference champion.

Yes they generally take an SEC team, but if Notre Dame is available, they will take them.

Speculation only! I'm sure you don't pick bowl participants.

My bowl talk has been limited to LSU winning the next three games and playing the highest available ranked team.
