Notre Dame will sell out the Sugar.

They didn't 6 years ago.

LSU is good for the game and the city.

Title- Oregon v. Alabama
Rose - ND vs Nebraska
Fiesta- Oregon State vs. Kansas State
Sugar - LSU vs. Oklahoma or La Tech (I know people may think this is a joke but all they have to do is finish in the top 16 and finish ahead of the champion of an AQ conference which with the way things are going in the big 10 its a plausible scenario)
Orange - Florida State vs. Lousiville

Really?

Do you know who played in the Sugar Bowl just last season??

You understand that LSU played Bama in the NC and only 2 teams from each conference can go to BCS bowls right?

I could definitely see that.

Not sure how A&M will factor in though. Cotton may want to renew that rivalry.

AM vs. Texas in the Cotton would have a huge turnout. Both home state, rivalry, and lots of hatred from Texas after AM bolted to the SEC. I'd imagine Jerry is pulling for this.

It is Notre Dame that better hope it doesn't play either LSU or Bama. It would be ugly.

I'm already looking at hotels in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl unless we lose another game and A&M wins out. People want to see either A&M/Texas or LSU/Oklahmoa in the Cotton Bowl.

Can't you see a scenario where Sugar takes ND with its first pick, and LSU ends up being the best available team for the Sugar's second pick, due to a combination of wins/losses for LSU and the other similarly ranked teams?

Did you read the post?

I think if K State gets into the BCSCG, then there is a chance.

Fiesta would have to take Oklahoma as its replacement for the Big 12 champ instead of LSU.

That is the only way that I can fathom that this matchup takes place.

The Sugar Bowl has had extremely crappy crowds the past few yrs ( and as it are run by Tulane alum I could care less) and they want to put butts in the seats this yr. ND would be a draw but not automatic sell out, as they did not sell all their allotments last time. LSU guarantees them a huge crowd regardless of the opponent.

This is definitely a good point.

But I just don't see how with all of the excitement around ND this year, especially if ND is undefeated, that the Sugar passes on them.

Pretty much everyone knew that ND was going to get slaughtered by LSU in 06. I remember Herbstreit and Co. laughing during the bowl selection show saying that ND had almost no chance.

If ND takes Sugar, it's unlikely that the SEC team makes it back to Sugar, so ND will probably end up playing Clemson or Louisville.

I think ND fans would turn out for a matchup like that.
