I'm still amazed we went from 7th to 2nd in one week. I knew we had a slight chance to make it but I thought it was silly to even entertain the thought. We need to take care of business with Arkansas so we can be in position if lightening strikes twice!

It is a different situation this year, though. Not saying it couldn't happen, but LSU had the SEC Championship on their resume in 2007. That sad, personally, if they finish with one loss and get in, the Big 10 and Pac 12 one loss teams teams can STFU on any complaints that they have about being left out until they sack up and play a conference championship game like the power conferences do.

Most of the lightning will ned to strike on Friday before we play Arkansas but I understand what you are saying. none of it matters if we don't beat Arkansas.

We had a lot of help... lots of teams in front of us folded, but Georgia got screwed. They were in front of us, we we jumped them when we won the CG and they sat idle.
this is why AU leaps us even if they fall behind us should they lose Friday.

notably, if Bama clobbers AU, voters may thingk AU just isnt as good as it was. They may fall further than if its a close game.

UGA did not get screwed, we had the same number of losses on top of winning the conference, which they didn't even get in to. If we go this year it will be because we have 1 loss and AU has 2.

Georgia did not get screwed. They wanted to move ahead of Missouri who played the Big 12 CG and lost but didn't want LSU to gain ground on them by winning the SEC CG. Can't have it both ways. If LSU were to be over taken by a team who played a Conference CG while we sat idle, I would have no problem with it at all.

Jumped them after winning the SEC title game by beating a team they couldn't.

They were also convinced they shouldn't be penalized for not playing an extra game that LSU did. But had we lost the game and been ahead of them, they damned sure would have wanted to move ahead of us
