Just because you can put gas in a car doesn't mean you know how to replace the engine.

It wasn't his program, not his blueprint for success. Why is that so hard for some to grasp?

The best analogy I heard was he's like fix a flat . He can get you where you need to go in a pinch but not for the long haul.

We lost many good players to the NFL for one.
Two, we had a ton of transfers.
Three, we were running a different offense.

Being the interim is a hell of a lot different than being the guy.

They were not. If Miles had been retained, he would have had a better record than O. He would have beaten Florida.

Because he took over after the hard part was done. He is clueless in offseason preparations and building a team. Last year, he took over a well oiled machine going 100 mph and just hit cruise control. This year he had to accelerate to 100 mph and blew the transmission at 60.

As one commentator said, "Coach O is a great substitute teacher but not ready to be the main event".

and I just could not get the Otards to understand the difference between the rah rah interim guy and being the actual man behind the program, they thought it was one in the same

He's the greatest interim head coach, come in week 5 or 6 win a few games pump the fans and team up with a bunch of cliches, but he has no real football philosophy outside platitudes and cliches, long term he gets crushed because of this.
