Drizz, don't waste your time. Some people on here think Miles is the almighty savior no matter what he does and if LSU would have gone 1-11 this past season they would still be making the same bullshite excuses.

Miles, Crowton, and Chavis 2010 co-coaches of the year and bcs champions

we were 3 games behind Bama in the SEC West standings
This is football, not baseball. It is not a penant race and saying we were 3 games back is negative spin. If we hold on to our 4th quarter lead against bama we hold the tiebreaker and the season is totally different.

Miles didn’t dodge the troubling offensive struggles and said he and Crowton and the rest of the revamped offensive coaching staff have to find ways to make major improvements.

“Frankly, we all know we have to improve on offense,” Miles said. “That’ll be the push.

“We all have to make some adjustments, and we all have to do some soul searching, look at the things we’re doing. I think the process is a very positive one, and that’s very much on the horizon and Gary will be a part of it.”

Damn people, its not like the guy said we were perfect and didn't have any issues.

How some of you can say we were closer to 6-7 then 11-2 is beyond me. If the refs put 2 seconds on the clock, like they did in other games this year, then we beat Ole Miss. If the refs call delay of game on Bowman instead of a personal foul on Hitt, then we might beat PSU. Why complain about close wins anyway? You think Bama fans care that they had to block a kick on the last play of the game to beat Tennessee? You think their fans are saying, "Undefeated season? shite, we should be 13-1 or 12-2!"

You really think we go to Ole Miss and lose with the SEC West on the line?

We lost AT HOME to Arkansas with the NATIONAL TITLE on the line in 2007. So yes, especially given the fact that OM dominated the game, I see no reason to think we would have won had we beaten Alabama.

this is pathetic, should be talking about raising our game and intensity and turning things up to match and beat Bama. Guy has no fire left, this is bad, he needs to go now. He is not hungry.

Maybe because Bama actually accomplished something and didn't look like complete shite in over half of their wins.

When we won that national champtionship game? Or when we all knew that would be a tough game against Arkansas because of the ridiculous time McFadden and Jones had given us the previous years?

So you are saying, there is no way we lose to a team that beat the crap out of us last year on the road with the SEC west on the line.

But think playing at home against a team we beat the year before in 2007 would be a tough game even though we had the National Title on the line?

because they dominated in many other games, we didn't even look that good against the scrubs. Given the 2008 season, its a disturbing trend.

LSU was close to 2 scenarios...it depends on how the cup looks to you.

Half empty? Miss State, UGA, and Arkansas could have easily been losses.

Have full? PP INT and we somehow score on next possession on that D; Ole Miss and the time...11-1 and going to SEC.

Now, the question...which team did we play more LIKE? A 7-5 or 11-1? C'mon...we all know the answer.

did we not lose the last regular season game of the year at home to an unranked 5 loss Arkansas team when anybody with half of a brain would have thought that the national title birth was on the line?

How do you automically pencil a W in for us over Ole Miss this year if we had gotten lucky and beaten Alabama when Ole Miss 2009> Arkansas 2007, the game was away and not home and LSU 2009< LSU 2007?

Yep. The blocked FG was what kept us in that game. We had two good offensive drives. TWO. And I won't count the final drive as such. If we were THIS CLOSE to being in the NC, we would have slapped teams like Washington and LA Tech in their little mouths and taken care of business against teams we are far more talented than such as Ole Miss.

Anyon believe this?

“In this class (2010) there will be guys who play very quickly. The upcoming class that will be juniors (2011), I can see three to five that will play immediately, guys that are legitimately going to play. It’s a great class.”

so the coaches & players gave up the rest of the year after the bama game? if so that is not cool. why give up even though you have nothing to play for?
