literally nothing. different ways of saying the same thing. it's either saying "one home game for us and one home game for them" or "one home game and one away game for us."

Houston >>>>> Dallas. We have a better chance of getting prospects out of Houston than Dallas. I live in Houston and it has a ton of LA folks/ LSU fans. I can only think of one or two guys from the Dallas area that we have signed.

Gopher, what does your fan base think about the deal?

Our fans are overwhelmingly positive about the Lambeau game - we had 40,000+ fans up there for a college hockey game a few years back. With Lambeau's renovations and the quality of the opponent, I wouldn't be surprised if this game will be the hottest ticket of the year in WI.

As far as the Houston game? More of a 'meh' simply because of the location of the game. Most Badgers would've been in favor of a game in New Orleans (or Baton Rouge), but we still are excited to play the Tigers.

Some are skeptical that LSU will opt out of the Lambeau game - the logical ones realize that LSU is the lone SEC program that isn't afraid to travel.

A lot of Badger fans have been wanting LSU on the schedule for awhile. Death Valley looks like an incredible venue (esp. those night games) and your fan base seems quite similar to ours in terms of having a "party-like" atmosphere at ballgames.

Our program seems to have taken a real nice approach to OOC scheduling (thanks Alvarez, playoff) and we realize we need to schedule these types of games in order to make a run at a MNC. Looking forward to our matchup(s)!

Can't wait for this.

I still wish it was a home-and-home, but whatever gets the job done.

I think our fanbases should have a drink-off...whichever fanbase drinks the other under the table wins.

Good luck to LSU this year. I'll be cheering for you guys to pound Bielema.

The whole reason Alvarez wanted to play LSU was predicated on playing at a neutral site. Wisconsin at LSU is a guaranteed loss and Alvarez knows it.

Yay, more money for Texas. Lambeau is fine, but playing our home game in another state is dumb.

brings in more money for LSU, attracts out of state students and recruits, has a large alumni base, etc.

You may disagree with it, but it certainly isn't dumb

I think you are ignoring the fact that the LSU brand will be on all the local networks in the Houston & East TX area. This is just adds to our ammo as far as recruiting in TX goes.

Recruiting Houston
-------------------------------------------------
This is what this whole series is about for LSU.If they could not get Reliant, they wouldnt be interested. Plus Reliant is tired of the backseat treatment and is looking to capitalize on their Super Bowl birth. So this is a good time to work a deal in Houston and fight it out the best we can until JFF moves on. Alleva understands that we must get the guys we want out of Houston each year. Other teams are catching up and are building their teams to beat us and Alabama. Staying aggressive is the only way to stay on top. Houston is for the taking if LSU hits it as hard as they possibly can. This is a huge opportunity and a key strategic move by the Tigers. One could argue South Louisiana has more in common with Houston than either College Station or Austin.
This AD is brilliant; almost all of his decisions have been spot on. The coaching staffs that he has assembled are second to none.
The brass at LSU clearly get it and are very coach and program friendly. LSU has some really good leadership all over the place right now.Instead of criticizing these people just follow the money because its pouring into LSU athletics right now.
Dont be surprised to see A&M schedule a game in Houston in response.

Don't like the Lambeau idea. This game will be played on the first weekend of CFB. It is a bigger event than just another Saturday football game. Green Bay, Wisconsin has nothing to keep people entertained prior and after the game. Lambeau is in the middle of nowhere. It's a good NFL town because of tradition, but if they didn't already have a team, there is no way the NFL allows them to have one in today's NFL. To be honest, I would rather do a home and home with Wiscy rather than Houston and Lambeau.
