I think it goes to a 3rd game, but I think we lose a shootout on Sunday.

1. State will play much better this time than in Starkville, fielding and pitching.

2. Either Lange or Poche will get run out of the game in the 3rd inning and we will lose that game narrowly, like 7-8. (We'll win the other game 5-1.)

3. Walker will pitch 7 and 2/3 and we will beat State 9-2 on MOnday.

They have 2 quality arms total. If lsu plays it smart and good Lange shows up, it's over in 2

LSU sweeps... would honestly be surprised otherwise.

Some bullshite (errors, etc) will have to happen for us to drop one. Some serious bullshite would have to happen for us to drop two.

Be patient at the plate and work the pitch count. Get to their bullpen early and it will be over in 2 games. Hope good Lange shows up on Saturday!!

I stand corrected. Poche's ERA is 4.87 since he gave up his first earned run.

Still, that's rather high for a Saturday night starter.

I hope he shuts them down but being concerned about a 4.87 ERA in his last 61 innings pitched doesn't mean I've "turned my back" on him.

Gotta geaux 7-1 LSU, 6-3 LSU

Game 1 - LSU up 6-1 in 8th, Lange gets roaring send-off from the box as he's pulled nearing 120 pitches; Bush shuts door in 9th

Game 2 - Poche gives up three runs on timely hitting from the dawgs and leaves game in 6th with LSU up 6-3, Hess comes in and Ks 5 in ~2 innings, Newman follows with the SV

Poche's 4.87 ERA since his shutout streak does concern me.
