Rooker vs. Poche does scare the crap out of me. This could be the game that Rooker wins for MSU. But LSU will score more than 2 runs against a depleted MSU pitching staff.

If we take game 1 this will probably be over before we start Sunday.

We don't drop fly balls. We have to get to their bullpen, though. Pilkington or whatever his name is their only real pitching threat

Game 1: LSU 11 MSU 4
Game 2: LSU 9 MSU 1

Mississippi State is tired and it will show.

First, I made this thread a few times this year. Game prediction threads are normal. Nothing tad about it.

Second, I predicted LSU winning the series. Didn't realize we had so many Mississippi State downvote bitches on TD.

This series is not going to be a push over. It will be tougher than we think but Tigers win 2-1.

I'll refrain. IIRC it was our bats that won games 2 and 3 against State with both Poche and Walker getting knocked around a good bit.

If our hot bats continue, we win the series regardless. It wouldn't hurt if good Poche shows up on game 2 or the Walker that won the SECT and BR Regional championships.

I hate that so many of our fans are turning their backs on Poche lately.

In my opinion, States best chance is to win in two games. If it goes to three games I don't think they have the depth at pitching.

I don't think anyone is turning their back on Poche. He's been hit hard a few times this season. His season ERA is in the low 3's. Consider he went something like 34 innings before giving up his first earned run and his ERA over the past 56 innings or so is 5+.

Sometimes he's unhittable, sometimes he gets smacked around. MSU hit him pretty well the last time he faced them.

Fans being concerned with his ERA following the early season shutout streak is perfectly reasonable.
