Harvard transfer Andrew Hatch has been somewhat effective running the option, but hasn't been much of a passing threat.

Glad those option runs against georgia were somewhat effective

this yeat is remarkably similar to 2004, and not unlike UF last year.

The LSU defense was exposed in a 51-21 loss at Florida on Oct. 11, allowing 475 yards, including 265 rushing. After winning at South Carolina 24-17, LSU was routed by Georgia 52-38 in Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday. It's the first time LSU has ever allowed 50 points or more in two games in a season. And, according to ESPN research, it's the first time a defending national champion has accomplished that dubious feat.

ANY DOUBTS

It's a lot like UF last year, except UF had a Heisman QB. And they still lost 4 or 5 games.

This year's team has a much better offense than 2004, much worse defense. And same result against UGA.

We have lost to 2 Top 10 really good teams. Its not like we lost to Auburn or Mississippi State.

How can any of you disagree with this analysis. The only isuue I have is that Auburn should be ahead of us.

I can't disagree. LSU is the defending national champion, was ranked as high as #3, and was supposed to have a ferocious defense. Its now apparent that the defense is anything but ferocious, and that team is not a top 10 team probably top 25 though). But this only means that we will be on the "up and coming" list in soon.

I expected about 2 losses this year. If they lose to Alabama but win the ones they should before and after, then it still a decent year. If they lose to bama and also drop another unexpectedly, well they have certainly underachieved.

It'll be hard to prove the ESPN's of college football otherwise until and unless we prove them wrong. At this point there's a lot of questions in everybodys mind about everything involving LSU football.

We'll just have to wait and see. Agonizing as it is.
