I love playing in Houston, not sure how I feel about playing BYU though.

I certainly don't think that, and if we have 7 home games a year, they are honoring what they AD promised about 10 years ago. I just prefer home & home series because of the fun I've had going to other stadiums.

On top of the neutrals they do appear to be scheduling SOME interesting H&H for people like you. Washington and WVU recently. Oklahoma is scheduled I believe. Syracuse, yaya I know, but to some people the Carrier Dome is a cool trip.

And even the Wisky neutrals are H&H neutrals.

FWIW

1. You do know that season tickets are based on the number of games right? It isn't like fans are paying for games that aren't on the schedule.

Accurate...but misleading if you consider TAF. Your TAF fee remains the same regardless of number of games therefore your average cost per remaining games does in fact increase.

Worst. Mixed. Tailgating. Ever.

What do they do during tailgates, anyway? Slam milkshakes and try to get brain freeze? Eat nuts and berries?

Can you imagine what the guys who walk around selling cokes are thinking about having BYU coming to Houston?

Wholly are people pissed about Texas games? We have a large fanbase in Texas and we recruit the frick out of it. I'd love to play in Houston/Dallas every year.

But BYU? Nah.

If I had tickets , I would travel to Houston. I have a free place to stay and I would get to revisit the Houston area.

I don't like plaing BYU. I would rather LSU play Texas or Oklahoma. Perhaps Oregon again.

LSU playing in Houston in these matchups gives LSU a lot of national recognition. Also helps our Texas recruiting. Also gets us money. BYU will be a fun matchup and we should win.

LSU has alumni and fanbases all over the southeast. IF, it's sooooooo important to appease them, enhance out of state recruiting
odds AND make boat loads of $....why not play 2 or three neutral games a year ? Seems like that would equate to a win-win-win ! What am I missing here ??? lol

Would you be okay if the game was against McNeese St., North Texas, New Mexico St., Eastern Michigan, Western Kentucky, ULM, Sam Houston State, Kent State, Furman, UAB, Idaho, Towson, NW St., Tulane, La Tech, Troy St., Jacksonville St., USM, or South Alabama? That's what season ticket holders are left with.

Nobody is against playing an "occasional" game outside of Tiger Stadium but to take the ONLY meaningful OOC game away from season ticket holders really sucks when you do it EVERY year.

These games also hurt our bowl attendance figures. Some may choose to attend a kickoff game or a bowl but most likely won't do both in the same season.

For those in favor of playing at a neutral site EVERY season...fine. NONE of you should make a single comment about empty seats or people leaving Tiger Stadium early. If LSU doesn't care about season ticket holders then season ticket holders shouldn't give a damn about what LSU (or you) thinks.

I am guessing that they don't count as a big 5 conference team, which means we should get two decent OOC games. Nice.

i'm pretty sure Alleva is the reason we had all night games last season

NO there were games that could have been at 2:30 but since LSU sucked there was no reason to put them at 2:30

Why doesn't LSU start playing all of the non-conference games at neutral sites if it generates so much money?
